Realistically, what would you (or Jake) want the council to do? Unless some knight in shining armour gives them an option, the most they can manage is a bit of sabre-rattling on your behalf, IMO. The little difference that is likely to make would be as likely to be bad as good.

Iam afraid if AP had that much class,he wouldn't have done what he did to allam and the situation we find ourselves in would't have occured.
