Credit to you you defended really well in the centre and kept our pack very quiet. Those "gash" players cudjoe and mcgilvray along with wardle kept us in it- and finished you off. Targeting murphy didn't really pay off, but you kept hoping. Once you get some players back you'll be giving a lot of teams a run for their money. Good luck for the rest of the season- except against us.

Until you get some craft to match your effort i fear you will have plenty of nights like this. I thought that you may edge it at half time and that the rain could play into your hands but ultimately it must be so frustrating for your forwards to be charging head long into battle with little or no direction.
Hats off to Danny Houghton for his defensive performance but the reality is he needs spelling so that we see more of him offensively. Pitts was hardly used tonight so surely Cunningham could have been used for 20 minutes to give Houghton a breather. Would have made more sence in my opinion.

Great defence and we really didn't deserve to lose, however we don't have the quality to open up defences when we have good field position. holdsworth obviously isn't right which is a real worry a month after his injury.

Worrying thing is it's another game where we've come away with no points and I think we could come out of the easter period with only 7 points from a possible 20 which would really make it difficult for us to even reach the top 8 at the end of the season

Have to agree with that. Think we can get a result next week but not confident at all for the derby.

Still too one dimensional. We desperately need some guile & craft to push us above a mid table team.

Good point. Agreed with the bench against Huddersfield's big pack,but as it turned out Pitts was a wasted interchange.

You shouldn't beat yourselfs up for losing this one, Hudds are top on merit & it was a gutsy effort. Still lacking invention though. Chuck to Manu & see what happens has now been replaced with lump it in the air & see what happens.

64 tackles from Houghton superb defensive effort from him but he never really got on the front foot and got his forwards going.

If they had a bench hooker I think that game would have been closer.

cannot criticise your team at all superb defense, good team ethic just missing a bit of quality and maybe a couple of your players carrying knocks. Holdsworth is a class act just need to get him right and you will start winning games. There are not many teams who would have broke your defence down .

Really good effort but lack couple of players who can change the game. Our attack is very slow and predictable

Attack was slow, but Giants' wasn't particularly quick either.

Think we did a good job on Brough and Crabtree in particular. Not a bad effort with 6 first teamers out, but with or without Holdsworth our attack lacks structure and we don't have enough runners. Still mad about McDonnell and the dropout-try that resulted, but credit to you, strong pack, lively halves, athletic outside backs. Hope you sustain your current form and go on to seriously challenge this year.

Giants deserve more people watching them as well.
Be interesting to see if they can maintain their form throughout the season. Could do with some more teams pushing Wire, Leeds, Wigan & Saints.

Think overall it was a good match. It was nice to see some passion in the shirt again. I thought we played for the full 80 and did cause threats in there 20, but again failed to capitalize. 3 disallowed tries maybe?? Some curious calls by bentham but it's officials for ya nowadays.

Only thing i want to say about the official is, How the heck can the touch judge call that from the far side when the closer touch judge said ok?? Isn't there a momentum rule anymore?? There third try was more forward then that an Bentham was yards from them.

Were starting quite slow but i still feel we will be in the 8 come end of season. Top four, don't think so. Wasn't expecting a win, expected a heavy loss but from that performance even though we lossed. I'm happy with it (performance that is)

I think its a bit harsh to criticise bentham when he didnt give the giants a penalty till the 67th minute and had given hull 5 by then.!

What's going on with Holdsworth? Worried about him.

The way you guys played today I would of been happy with draw! Really unlucky with the forward pass. Was the right call but so frustrating when the inconsistency throughout the league is so up And down! Play like that throughout the season and you will be real contenders, especially when you get your full squad back

Top teams don't need to worry about that ball. Otherwise fair result we need to be better.

Bentham had a good game. There was just moments when i feel he made the wrong call. Even sky said it. My post was really to the touch judges. They need to improve. More so then the referee's

6 players had fitness tests,and a bug had swept through the camp, hence the Holdsworth sickness.

Something is deffo not right with him. I realise that going forward he is going to be an important player for you but tonight you would have been better served playing somebody else at 6 and letting Holdsworth recover from whatever is currently troubling him. His kicking game was awful and i can hardly think of an example of him asking questions of the defensive line when he had the ball.
