Torches and pitchforks anyone?

We have seen passages of more flamboyant play, but tonight was back to square one. Mr B and I said we just needed Chris Thorman off the bench to welly the ball dead on tackle 3 and we'd have a full house of all the eness of the last 5 years. It was absolutley diabolical tonight.

I thought we were assured we'd have a new pair of half backs this season

I would stick with the tried and tested masks.

It's cos were simply to slow at the ptb and passing . I'd bring in a handling coach to try and improve this area of our game cos we've been poor in this area for some years now.

cant believe sum on here on about maybe changing the coach, we lost 2 games to the gf teams, easily beat bradford,should have beat saints away,yes tonight was total crap but then to start to talk about changing the coach

I know Gentle planned to become more expansive as the pitches firm up, but they played as though they met each other for the first time tonight.
It was Agar - esque. That bad.

Cannot blame the pitch for been heavy either.

We were also lacking some crazy interchanges & the winger on the bench.

when the team came out tonight i rang my pal and said i don't feel confident at all tonight and can see widnes winning. he said hull by about 30 points then westy scored and i was like OK maybe i was wrong but west hull would of beat us tonight just too many individuals no team work and the worst 7 in history id say lineham was the only one who played with passion
changes next week would be for me

agree with all of that apart from galea, who again tackled his heart out and ran in hard,

Galea was far from our worst tonight although for that drop out he should have gone to Specsavers.

Maybe not tonight, but I'd say it's between him and Pitts as to who has been least effective over the season so far. If Green is fit next week, he picks himself, and it ought to be Galea who loses his place IMO.

No don,t blame the coach, who do we blame for such an effortless pathetic display.

people are jumping on Galea to be dropped but he had a decent game. i think its because of the rovers connection

Fully agree. We obviously need Holdsworth to play in most games this season to get anywhere.

i like his predictions in the Daily Mail before the games played ,hes a right laugh Gentle always gets it wrong bit like his team selection !

I think Gentles made his bed in assembling a bang average squad. Forget missing out on a scrum half, were bang average in the forwards and wont win many battles unless the opposition isnt up for it. If it is we'll lose almost every time.

Agree regarding Yeamo, who by his own admission is not in the best of form. Wouldnt usually sanction moving Whiting out of the back row but i dont think yeamo offers much more than Whiting but Rich has great all round defence and will surely promote much more ball out to Briscoe. Would also free up space on the bench for Watts to return. Green, Crooks, Holdsworth all need to come back in.

im not saying drop galea for his form tbh hes been consistent but there is better players who are been overlooked for me and he is surplus to requirements we have tickle and westerman and both can do 80 mins in 2nd row we need more props so bowden green omeley lynch Johnson all need to be in the 17 for me and we seem to start really well with 3 props on then we bring whiting or Pitts on and get battered id like us to go with abit more bulk and bully teams and play off the back of that

who does gentle bring in?

hopefully a big aggressive forward in the style of sam moa, we're a soft touch, easily beaten in the pack, look at most teams in the league, they all have at least one player of that style, we dont have any! biggest mistake was not replacing sam!
