Well it all seems a bit unprofessional to me. I played "amateur" county rugby union and we were expected to turn up at 8am - the earliest kick off was 2pm but once we had a 6pm floodlit game and we still had to turn up early. The envelope in the boot would be thinner if you were late!

But what do I know?

I can't go on Sunday so that's one game down on my pass.

So only stadiums geared purposefully for events such as the magic weekend then? Obviously it's a shambles that the club didn't foresee this.

No of course the club did not foresee this, however hopefully lessons will be learnt for the future should any long delays occur.

Will you be learning any lessons from this. Maybe in future take emergency rations and clothing just in case.

The reason they gave you is a health & safety reason, imagine trying to admit 8,000 fans through narrow turnstiles when maybe 30% are refused. That's a health & safety hazard, seriously, it's not that difficult to work out.

But wouldn’t any responsible person or parent, knowing that it was very cold (and poop happens) wouldn’t they have had some sort of contingency plan?

It is bad enough having a nanny state, without insisting on having a nanny club.

There will be a special visit to town tomorrow morning for some thermals, all ready for Sunday

I think one lesson to be learned (at least by me) is don't buy a pass unless you can guarantee attendance any given friday, satuuday, sunday or monday.

Having just arrived back home in Knaresborough after god knows how many hours sat in a car I can confirm tonights events were pretty extreme ,luckily we were running late so got filtered off the M62 avoiding the grid lock between the 2 junctions.Normally travelling to Hull games on the M62 once your past Ferrybridge is a doddle we normally set off 6-6.30 on fridays and make kickoff. If the Hull players were caught up in it at about 5 then they would have plenty of time even allowing for reasonable delays.
Anyway we'll be back on the M62 sunday battling through the snow no doubt.

in 18 seasons of superleague it's the first time it's happenend,it was a freak set of circumstances,people have been inconvenienced,get over it.

My Dad went for the longer Minstergate one. Thought it was alright but felt a bit tight round my legs. Would have probably ended up walking like I was in a mini skirt.
