That audio interview is probably one of the most unprofessional I've heard from a coach in a long time. He sounds like a fan, not a person in charge.

I think you guys played well today and probably should have won - I think the decision to kick for 2 early in the second half wasn't the brightest - you had us on the back foot. Overall though, Hull FC should do well this season, but I'm not sure how much will be down to your 'coach'.

How did everyone get it right then, we were in a position of dominance with 10 minutes to go, and still lost!

Does it really matter what a coach sounds like in a friggin interview? I don;t rate him but I could not give 2 shiny shi!ts how he sounds on the radio. The bloke could sound like donald duck and if he got the results/performances we expect from our team i would be quacking along with him.

Oh here we go, when we lose it's all Agar's fault but when we play better it's down to the players.

So it really doesn't bother you that instead of bringing up the reason your side lost today (ill discipline, problems keeping possession and wrong decisions) he talks about the opposition and 'how angry' his players are about their 'so called' tactics.

That obviously doesn't bother you though. Give it another listen.. it's pretty embarrassing.

I actually thought you were having a go at how he talks (it is common on here) so apologies for that. However I think some of the favouritism from the 14th man had a lot to do with the result today rather than any ill discipline.
Having seen us play many times before today was a 100% step up and I think the coach is doing what coaches do and instead of blaming the players he is trying deflect criticism away from them.

You lot deserve better than him. How he is in a job still is beyond me. Is it just your owners trying to do things on the cheap or do you think there is more to it?

Read the 1st half of his post. he explicitly states was it down to "better rotation, tactics.... etc etc"

Regardless of what I hoped and expected from today, the facts are we were 12-8 up with 10 minutes to go and they'd just had Joel Tomkins sent off, yet managed to ball watch and give away stupid penalties and dropped ball, snatching defeat from victory.

Most people would love Noble or Brown as our coach.

The same Brown who ranted on about he would tell his players to fight with opposing teams as the refs were not protecting his players.

The same Noble who went ballistic on the touchline at Hull, kicked off in the tunnel and ranted in his aftermatch press conference.

Coaches do this all the time. We really don't need you coming on here trying to patronise us thanks.

He kind of infers it by asking the question. It was not a pop at Robbo but more at this type of attitude that seems to be constant around here - find a way to not give Agar any credit and blame him for everything.

No worries. I think you could be correct in saying he his deflecting the criticism which obviously he has every right to do - It just seems like maybe he should have had a few minutes to think about the game as a whole, before having a rant about some parts of the game. Of course, sometimes that isn't possible when someone shoves a mic in your face.

If you play like that every week though, you'll win more than you'll lose - We scraped it in the end.

But isn't today a good example of the other side of the coin? Us losing and people saying it was down to the players and not Agar...

I didn't give an opinion I was asking others for their opinion. Shall I give mine so you get the chance to be precious about it?

Has the basic way in which the team plays ie dummy runners, second phase attack, backing up, tackle technique etc etc etc changed?

If we played to the same structures and patterns but just performed them to a much higher standard and intensity then nothing has really changed has it?

If someone doesn't like the way Agar's team plays rugby then a high intensity performance playing in the same way means nothing to that person. It doesn't mean they dont appreciate the efforts of the players or dont feel proud to be an FC supporter at the moment in time.

If anything, someone complaining about Agar one week and then defending him the week after because the players gave a lot of effort is a hypocrite IMO.

That's my point, we play better and it's nothing to do with Agar.

Part of being a head coach is to motivate, maybe he got them up for this game? He has to make sure the defensive structure is right, it seems he got that right today.

I am not an Agar fan but I just can't sit here reading crap about him getting blamed for everything.

So not a hypocrite just balanced.

At the end of the day when you are ahead and they get a player sent off and then LOSE is really poor tbh.

But I dont blame Agar for this...the players should take a hard look at themselves some of them just dont have the winning mentality or to keep cool under pressure.

all about adrenalin, losing a player can sometimes boost moral for that team not kill it
listen wigan are no mugs, a champion team littered with internationals , going a player down to them is irritating but not a major loss
we did well today , lets enjoy it

We did well agreed, however it was a under strength Wigan team and they were there for the taking today.
