And I've just checked, and yes there are some teams with what, some would regard as decent coaches, below us in the league. So I believe we must have improved this year. Which is all most of us asked for

We're deffo better than last year but we have better players so no surprise there.

Unfortunately, we've lost to 3 of the current bottom 4 and have taken hammerings from wigan and leeds twice. I think we're still underperforming for a club spending to the full cap though and offensively we are some way short of the top clubs.

I personally think that agar is very limited and we'll never be a side consistently challenging for honours whilst he's in charge. The team doesn't have the great defence or the cutting edge in attack that the best sides in the comp do.

We were 12th last year and aftre Agar's cull and recruitment we have now got a squad that can challenge for the playoffs. In fact we are currently vying for a top 4 spot so that is a major improvement.

Yes we have lost to some lowly placed teams but so have other top sides, it happens. We have also beaten the third placed team twice and beaten our rivals for the top eight. You don't go from 12th to challenging with the best, it takes time, it's not just a matter of spending the full cap, just look at how long it has taken Warrington.

Agar still has questions to answer and is not the finished article but he is improving and has the respect and belief of the players which is important for any head coach.

Of course it's your opinion which you are entitled to, as for being always right

Looking at the injuries Bradford have i might change my mind. Think we can now win 8 from 9.

I refer you back to my original post. Glass half empty. Blown a big lead when we should have been winning. With Leeds losing that could be crucial. Though I may well have predicted a defeat today but never a Crusaders win. Pressure is building. Can we hack it?

Providing Sean Long has now got his bad game out of his system i dont see any reason why we're not good enough to go 8 from 9. (other than Agar but i'm trying to give him a break)

I think we'll lose to Leeds, Warrington and Wigan, maybe Rovers as well given if they get on a roll.

The televised match tonight and our 2nd half display shows where we are IMO. I'm not complaining about it, especially since our progress this season has been very good, but we are a way off the intensity and quality shown over 80 minutes by the top 3 sides. No doubt some poor souls will still be claiming that Hull v Rovers is the biggest/best derby in SL in a few weeks.

Not for this Hull supporter. I love the Wigan v Saints games and tonight's did not disappoint. Best contests in SL.

Not saying they are not good games to watch,but when you are involved with a team,the adrenelin rush is hard to beat.
Unless of course you are a closet Saints / Wigan supporter.

There's not been a Hull V Rovers game of importance to anyone but the two clubs in a generation.

Until we meet in a final again or regularly in the playoffs it's hard to argue that we have the biggest derby.

Not saying it is the biggest derby in S.L., just for us.

Fair enough. But equally so is Wakey v Cas for those guys. And Leeds v Bradford. All are just sideshows to the main derby event of Wigan v Saints for me, in the context of the competition, and the intensity is even better this year with it being 1 v 3.
