Long and Briscoe on the left must be the worse defensive formation ive seen for a while. The rightside was not much better letting Boughton score twice. The board wont sack him, i just hope they dont renew his contract.

We could sack Agar but we'd still be left with players who give penalties away, wingers who can't defend and players knocking on.

Or just maybe a better coach would rectify some of those persistant problems.

in the team tonight only Tansey, Lyne and Houghton didn't have international honors of some kind. And even then Tansey played some NRL. You don't hit international level by being poop, so it must be the coaching.

Agar isn't the best coach around and I have now seen a lot to make my mind that Agar will never have us at the top. But there are certain things the coach can not be blamed for, discipline, dropped balls and poor tackling are pretty much them.

I for the life of me don't think Agar instructed three players to be bulldozed over there own line twice (by a winger half there size), I also don't think he tells Tom Briscoe not to catch kicks or tells Lauaki to gob off at the referee at any chance.

I agree his tactics were not the best and in attack we looked ordinary, but the players must take responsibility.

agar's the one who prepares them mentally and physically all week. If we're not ready come game day it's down to him

Discipline and poor tackling can definitely be attributed to coaching when they are persistent. And it's precisely because Agar is doing nothing to players as consequences of their performances that they are not taking responsibility. Maybe if their places were in jeopardy they'd cut some of it out.

If the players can't do these basics they shouldn't be at pro level.

as far as i'm concerned he's got until the cup game to sort it, another 3 league losses (making it 4 in a row) and going out of the cup will make his position untenable

But the thing is, we've seen most of these players either at previous clubs or under previous Hull coaches when they haven't struggled with these basics. So the question becomes, why now?

The coach is responsible for the previously mentioned frailties otherwise there would be no need for a coach at all

but we had a similar thing at the end of the kear reign. when sharp came in the same players who neglected to do the basics all of a sudden made us a good side who got us to a grand final

i was defending agar last season and blamed injuries and dead wood but now its his team his signings and its not happening out their , i agree its time for a change and in my mind steven kearney would be ideal .

We need an up and coming aussie coach who is technically at the cutting edge of the game

Heard his interview. No passion, just the same downbeat excuses. In fact, it could have pre-recorded been from 2009.
The job at KC is one of the best in the game, given the resources & the fan base.
We need to aim high when Agar's contract expires.

One look at the League table shows a marked improvement from last year. The Rugby at times looks very basic and lacking in ideas but you could say that for Bradford and even Leeds this year. Bradford are also having a much improved season as far as the table goes. Only one side is showing class week in week out and that is Wigan. Wire and Hudds are looking quite good but every other side is inconsistent.

Nothing is won in March and whilst it is frustrating the times I have seen you play it is obvious there is improvement to come. If and when that comes (which I suppose is where you lot are divided) Hull could finish top 3 pretty easily because you are 5th and have not even played that well yet!!

I would not be as harsh as to sack a bloke who is making progress. Sometimes it aint pretty but nights like tonight happen. Lynne will learn a lot from tonight, as well a few others. The Hall thing is puzzling but we do not see them on the training ground. I would trust for a little longer if I was a Hull fan to be honest.

There are just as many rubbish coaches in Australia as there are in the UK you know!!

If they are that good in Australia they will stay there unless they are drawn by money and for me money is not a good reason for someone to be attracted to a job. The challenge and prestige of a job like Hull should be a bigger factor.

Before returning to there usual selfs a few months later. Agar should go but they are also a few players who should to.

wow, at this rate of progress (2nd bottom in 08, 3rd bottom in 09) we might have hit the dizzy heights of of the playoffs by the end of the decade



the reason we are 'frustrating' is because we have the quality players, but not the coach to get the best out of them.

what a load of tosh...sack agar now...yeah so it was him who gave away the 15 penalties??? was it agar that for the first time yeaman actually makes a pass agar made it go into touch????was it agar that couldnt keep broughton from scoring twice in the same place???.......NAHHHHHHHHH it was the pi$$ poor effort from the players who probably thought they could just turn up and win.......stop talking shiiite and support your team through thick and thin...agar will stay and you know it ....SIMPLES
