Where is good for a pre match drink apart from the Wetherspoons? There are only 4 of us (yes yes, double our usual away support) so unlikely to cause any trouble

I don't think Horne will be dropped this week and he is fit so I reckon he will play. Only question is who plays with him?

Tansey could be moved and that would allow Caldewood to come in, Hall to centre and Whiting to FB.

Or Whiting could play in the halves with Horne.

Or more likely it will be Washy/Horne and they will be given another opportunity.

Would love to have seen Whiting given a few games at S.O. at the end of last season when we had nowt to play for. Just to have a look if nothing else. Alas that kind of imagination often seems lacking in selection. So I doubt he will play there Friday. If he doesn't shake up the Horne/Washbrook combination on Friday I will be very disappointed.

He does need to be bolder at times with his selections but we are only 3 games in and we have won 2 of them, hardly calls for ballsy decisions.

Look at other coaches, last year Burrow was poor but McClennan stuck with him, Pryce had a shocking season but Potter stuck with him. Sometimes fans can be too kneejerk with their reactions.

I do find this rather baffling. I doubt any Hull fan outside of those that went to the friendly at Sheffield ( I didn't go btw) has seen Turner play at stand off, yet there's a clamour for him to start a super league game for us in that position. It was also reported from some that did see him play there that he didn't exactly look convincing. So what is it that those who want him to be half back against Harlequins know?

Suppose you could be right, maybe he should name the same team and give them a warning that if they don't perform players will be dropped. Last chance sort of thing.

God knows!! During SL he has mainly played centre, he played 13 in the first division so the clamour for him to play 6 is a weird one.

McNamara did the same thing after the Bulls got hammered at home, told the players to go out and put it right which they duly did.

Out of his depth is harsh but he didn't look authoratitive. Understandable maybe at a new club as a youngster but exactly what we don't need at 6 for our next game in my view. if selected there I hope he has a blinder mind

Although mixed reviews on Turner at SO, it is claimed it is a postion he has played all his life..He also played the position for Great Britain Under 20s (he was also the captain)..

He was playing alongside Washy so it was difficult to shine. Turner has the attributes that Horne had a few years ago so if we are going to play a running SO he is a better option than Horne. I'd actually be tempted to play Hall there as he can actually pass a ball and is an elusive runner.

id go with turner at halfback, weve tried and tested washy and horney but dosent work. leave tansey at fullback but he will act as a halfback in attack and leave berro at hooker.

hate to say it but berro may be the better option we have, and even that has proven to not work previously. Agar seriously needs to get some attacking coaching done this week.
