1? Did you not watch your end of season games? He's bombed more tries in the last 2 months than i care to remember. He's looked very average and i was surprised when he was even called into the squad. The supprise seemed justified on Saturday too.

Personally, I don't want the kid to go. Would rather he rested up and had a full pre season with us. We'll get slaughtered by the Aussies, probably NZ too and I don't see France as a certainty, he could come back with his confidence in tatters.

playing for your country is the pinnacle for any player i hope hes plays in every game and performs well.

I don't see that as much of a risk TBH. He's extremely level-headed and has bags of mental strength - let's face it, his last two seasons have been pretty tough on the confidence front and he seems to have come through unscathed.

I'm sorry mate, can't believe I said that, it's probably the insult of all insults to compare someone to that guy, sorry.

We might well get slaughtered by the Aussies and the Kiwis, but as long as Briscoe isn't shown to be below the standard of the rest of the team (which I don't think he will be), his confidence should be fine.

It's a little early, but he was always going to make the international set up. One season won't make too much difference, IMO. A decent run out this season and a good SL season next year will see Briscoe cement his place as first choice England centre, I reckon.
