What I have seen this season is that Yeaman can be as good as any other centre in this country with the right service. Yes he will miss tackles, all players do but mostly he defends very well. The pass in the 2nd half to Broughton was not great but Broughton was out of position and should have taken it.

G Horne isnt good enough for Hull IMO, not quick or big enough enough for a backrow or .

He shoouldnt get a new contract next season.

He was put clear in the first half with only the full back to beat and had neither the pace nor the know how to beat him. I would have expected the likes of Senior,Gleeson,Atkins,Shenton,Hall and possibly even Welham to have scored in the same situation. He is hugely overrated.

Apart from Hall I don't think any of them would have had the pace to beat Smith, they would have all used the winger like Yeaman did. The only thing he did wrong was to pass slightly early. As for Welham

he has a massive head start on Smith at CP and got caught easily.

There are more ways to beat a full-back than out and out pace

Just ask Danny Houghton.

Yeah, maybe he should have turned inside then outside a few times and fallen over, Smith looked really confused when that happened, top stuff.

I agree with Paul, I don't see how he can be criticised in that break for anything other than passing a bit early. I also don't see why people seem utterly convinced he'd not have scored if he'd gone himself, he went from distance and got through Blaymire no bother not so long ago. He showed plenty of pace in last year's final as well. Where has this sudden myth he lacks pace come from? Are we just transferring criticisms amongst players now and it's his turn for that one? IMO, he's actually a yard or so quicker now than he was in 2007ish, when he bulked up too much.

I’ve criticised Yeaman quite a bit recently, but he did well on Saturday and looked very strong with and without the ball. On the flip side I’ve always defended Greame but Saturday was one to forget, second week running he’s shown his defensive weakness.

He lacks pace, doesn't have a side step.

He jumped the line FOUR times to only then miss his man and he chucked the ball in to touch on three occasions because he didn't look where he was passing.

Do you honestly think at present we'd be a better team without him in it, because I don't. I can appreciate some of your concerns about him, but I can't see anyone better at the club in his position. He is, as ever our leading try scorer and nobody at our club gets over the try line more consistantly than him.

Most clubs in SL would be happy to take Yeaman, probably three or four would take Graeme Horne.

I agree. Always in and around the squad with both Kear and McRea and a few teams would be interested in a fairly cheap English player with Hornes versatility IMO.

Martin, Atkins, Snitch, Wilkes, Sykes, Nero, Burgess, Menzies, Morrison, Solomona, Langley, all better, and Grix, Gleeson, Ferguson, Cook, all at least as good prospects IMO. So I fail to see why either of the last 2 would be interested.

That's why I had the question mark after Bradford. Although you'd think not, McBanana has made stranger recruitment choices.

Martin is possibly off to Cas so Wakey may need a replacement and as has been pointed out Kear is a fan of GH.

With Bradford anything is possible given some of their recruitment options over the last couple of years.
