Thats True. The diiference with the Leeds analolgy aswell is that there are other clubs on Leeds doorstep and you wont switch clubs. Citys nearest are scunny ,york and grimsby the rest 500,000+ of east yorkshire is theres for the taking.
The £7mill quote is for a stand above the east like the west this would only add 5000 seats and more corporates. Think the new plans would need to drastically change the east stand to incorporate more possible 3 tiers so would cost many more pennies. the sort of money that city need to really spend on the team to make sure they stay up. the ground will be a medium term project. then there is the issue of the stadium being owned by a public body and a private company extending it. But these things are getting more and more common with Victoria Dock primary school being a prime example.

I would of thought all parties would have to agree as we're tennants just like city. Duffen only runs the stadium management and can't do as he likes.
If they do do it, it will be the biggest white elephant since the millenium dome because city will be back in the championship next year.

Thats why it isnt going to happen. Investing in youth and home grown talent is higher on their list than this extension !

Wasn't the first 'expansion' simply to put another 3 or 4 rows of seats at the back of South stand, extended over the concourse ?

Cost of that was minimal, added 1,000 - 1,500 which would deffo sell out for premiership footie.

Last night on Humberside Paul Duffen said that financing the expansion plans wouldn't be a problem. He then went on the say the first stage of the expansion would see another 2500 seats added to both the North and South Stands.

Duffen also said that Manucho was a better striker than James Beattie!!

The 6000 i said was west upper (it has been reduced due to your lot ripping out seats to expand the media area.)
