| Quote ="Ian P"I am already doing a boycott

The club is now in decline and has been for several years we have accepted mediocrity for so long now. The old excuses will be trotted out, injuries, Crocker being banned, bad decisions, unfit players etc etc. Sure we have seen worse squads then this lot, this difference now is that there is no excuse for buying cheap. There is no reason why Hull FC have not got a better squad then we have, we have no money problems, the gates, clothing sales, corporate and other cash flows have been either constant or rising in the last nine years. The club have mananged to distance themsleves from the fans in many ways, the players are so distant they may as well be be hired in from Australia every year. I see players on the pitch going through the motions, they are not motivated and as for 5 drives and a bad kick................ sick of it. The squad of 99 where bad , but they tried and through there efforts helped the long term future of the club, I could not fault there efforts. Mystery injuries and talk of splits are coming out, true or not there is clearly something wrong with them.
The chickens are coming home to roost, the club faces a major challenge in attracting pass holders to re-new for next season. For the first time they are not going to get away with the token "BIG NAME SIGNING", this time they can fool no one but the really stupid. Following a sports team is big business and like all business they have to look after there core, FC have been IMHO abusing our blind faith for years. They face the prospect of losing maybe 50% of the pass sales next season due to the recession and poor form ( entertainment value =0 ).
The club has slipped in player capabilty since Kear was sacked. He was sacked not for performances on the pitch, but for behind the scenes bust ups and the fact he was not paid thye going rate for the job he took on. He was replaced in haste with Peter Sharp, a second best choice and he too was sacrificed to placate the fans and corporates.
Agar has been on borrowed time since Jon Sharp arrived and he will go at some point, its not if but when. I doubt this move will halt the slide the club is in unless some one acts swiftly it will be many years before we can climb back up. I am not calling for the board to go, boycotts or anything else that would damage the club, but I believe that present regime will cut and run if they think that the cash is about to dry up. They know they can get some decent cash for the club and if they delay for long the price will start dropping.
The next few months could be vital for the long term future of Hull FC and I still think we need to get an organised pressure group in place as a matter of urgency.'"
what a good post Ian, agree with everthing you said
its time for the board to either put the club up at the right price, or made a the right investement in recruitment because slowly but surely they are losing the fans and once people decide to go its very hard to entince them back

Without wanting to turn this into another debate, if there was anyone serious about wanting to buy Hull FC they would have been knocking on the door by now.
I know there is a lot of negativity about Kath hetherington (some of it justified but some of it not), however she, and the other shareholders are going to have to make 3 big decisions over the next month.
First and foremost, they must recognise that the team needs a scrum half. Signing one (even on a short term basis) would take the pressure off the other two decisions (in the short term). Not 100% sure who I'd go for, but as some have suggested, at least James Webster took on the line / had a kicking game.
Secondly, Agar. IMO Completely out of his depth. Unfortunately for him, his insistance on stating "I can't fault the effort" has worn thin. What about the skill and tactics! Needs to be replaced. Would be tempted to see what Ian Millward is doing at the moment.
Finally, Rule. By the accounts I hear, from people connected at know of at 3 other SL clubs, Rule comes over to other club officials as arrogant and full of himself. Well James, its time you earned thte right to be arrogant by actually making some decisions which were for the benefit of the main aspect of the club, the playing side of things. Quite where this arrogance comes from I find odd, afterall he relies on Kath to get his contacts in the RL world, so he didn't bring a lot to the table in the first place. Needs to be replaced. Difficult to know who to suggest, but (and many will not like this suggestion) why not make it a real family affair and get Gary H as CEO because like it or not, he really does know what his is doing.

Very well put. Ive been saying long enough (even before cardiff 05) what this board were all about. I was dismissed without discussionn at the time. Just a bunch of con merchants, Richardson included.

Yes it would look bad, it would look like our fans are just full of bandwaggoners.I am as dissapointed as the next supporter however putting into perspective we are currently 7th with 14 games left, we are only losing games by a couple of points it is possible the tightest campaign we have seen so far. Things do need sorting however not attending a game will not sort them at this point of the season.

Things do need sorting however not attending a game will not sort them at this point of the season.'" But we need the Bord to realise that we will not just role up and hand over hard earned money like we are i am not saying we have band wagon supporters far from it i have been going since i was 5 and if i have the money i will buy a pass next year but i think the Bord need to realise we will not stand for it they don't want to speak to us the supporters so how do we voice our opinions to the club all i can see is as long as they are making money they will just carry on getting average Joe to come and play for us and with the fan base we have and the money we have we should have a squad like st Helen's have that's my opinion

| Quote ="Ian P"I am already doing a boycott
one forced on me I might add.
I thought your boycott, was a dummy spit about Friday's?
"I see players on the pitch going through the motions, they are not motivated and as for 5 drives and a bad kick"
How have you seen players on the pitch, going through the motions, when you aren't there?
