It's exactly the start we HAD to get, winning this for me was massively important and a much bigger crowd next week will hopefully spur the lads on.
1 win does not a season make but is the best start possible.

We were solid if unspectacular. The defence was excellent, snuffed out everything the Giants threw at us which admittedly wasn't that much.

Someone earlier mentioned not getting the ball back from the kick off. They were excellent kicks frpm Brough.
Speaking of Brough, he totally lost his head and the Giants suffered because of it.

Performance was fantastic and brutal for the 80. Must have been 4,000 fans Hull fans there today and a brilliant atmosphere created by us. Minichiello loved the crowd after the game.

Today was the first time we've nilled a club away from home in Super League since 2004. That was also at Huddersfield, a 20-0 victory which was live on Sky.

come off it . not 4k at all, two sides of the stand are draped off with sponsorship covers.

2500 would be a much closer figure, and thats brilliant!

hull the much better team today, hard to break down, good kicking game and some top performances from ellis and shaul.

hudds on the other hand paid for having a disrupted pre season, could be a tough start for us!

Yep I would agree with that number. Amazing away following and a superb performance.

What would be more worrying for Hudds is that FC fans made up maybe 40% of a 7700 crowd.

Just got back from Huddersfield, very impressive performance. Our defence was immense today and it's great to have two good half backs who can actually lead us around the field. Thought Sa did a great job of winding up Broughy. Great following by the faithful, it was packed and a great atmosphere. Just got to back it up next week against Warrington.

Think this will be a massive ask, shorter turnaround than them and the team have been building to this afternoon all pre season, there's a risk that Friday could be an anticlimax IMO. Hopefully not obviously, players seem buzzing on Twitter tonight. And team spirit in very much in evidence today with the high fives for forcing knock-ons etc, but as importantly the determination not to concede a single point.

Great performance from 1-17. The pack stood up great especially Mini, Ellis and Paea. Pryce and Sneyd complimented each other well but Pryce on that performance is exactly what we've missed for so long, non stop talking and organising the team and pushing people into position.

Hope Sa is ok he didn't look great at the end.
