Kear nullified every attacking ploy we had (if you can even call them that), their centres just rushed up in Tanseys face and our halves still passed it to him instead of hitting the runner going through for him, this caused the Millard try. Also the Houghton jump out to one side then pass it behind the PTB to a forward got read every time as their defence pushed up on both sides of the ruck, resulting in Demetrious try.

2 backs on the bench is madness i have no idea how having a winger on the bench can be justified.

The really laughable thing is that after all this time some people really don't understand that having no half backs will cost you the game. Neither Berrigan nor Washbrook are good enough to play in the role week in and week out. Cooke and Jeffries were a bit better. We had no organisation and no guile - why are people surprised ? - we had NO HALF BACKS playing.

I would pick up Agar on the substitution of Turner - if he wanted to sub a centre why didn't he remove the lazy and overrated Yeaman and put Hall straight in at left centre ? Turner has been consistently better than Yeaman game after game since he started playing at centre regularly. Meanwhile Yeaman continues to offer next to nothing.

Well he played as well as I expect an old man to play and i'm not going to criticise him for not being any more than that.

It was almost the warmest night of the year so far and Agar only has two forwards on the bench! Rich Horne playing hooker! Turner replaced by Hall. Typical tactics from the Hull boss that again cost 2 points. Morgans game plan is set for Thursday night and I fear another Agar out thread

Heard Agar on the radio after the game. Turner was fine he just thought we were chasing the game and Hall might create a try out of nothing. How about we actually create something for a change!

What options did he have for halfbacks, I agree btw but he had little choice.

Anything without Berro there would have been a start. Hate to say i was right during the week saying he should be nowhere near the halves but i think i may have been right.

Kear will have had them up for it and might have done a few things tactically but the fact was were executed poorly and has zero enthusiasm. The game was in the balance in the 2nd half and we cracked first, mainly through the pivots throwing poor balls and taking poor options.

Tansey, Turner, Whiting? Not saying they'd be any better, but Washbrook/Berrigan is a tried and proven failure.

Tansey, Whiting or Turner could have offered something different to Berrigan/Washbrook. Or use Horne there (whilst on the pitch) instead of as an interchange hooker.

Not a lot I'm not saying he did. On another thread I have said how we need some decent quality cover.

However I am still of the belief that Tansey, =#FF0000[itemporarily[/i, should be moved into the halves until such time as Horne gets up to speed.
It's not ideal but needs must in my opinion we had ZERO creativity or spark and he could offer it. Whiting has made a good fist of FB this
season and for the team's sake going forward we need Tansey on the ball. It's OK saying Tansey has a free role etc. etc. but he normally receives
his passes from Longy - they didn't come tonight from Berrigan/Washbrook/Horne and therefore he was pretty ineffective. We need his hands on the ball - at least to ask a few questions.

None of them are SH's, at least berro has experience of playing there before. Hardly a proven failure they habe not played together that much.

Whiting I am not sure about, he moved into the halves last week and kicked the ball out on the full twice. he blew a try tonight through lazy passing. Turner and Washy would be a disaster imo.

I hate to say it but I honestly think we might have to change it up a bit and despite my better judgement I think we need to try Tansey at 7 with Horne at 6 and Whiting at fullback. Get Calderwood back on the wing.

The usual suspects can see how poor we are. Using the 4th in the table weak defence against the fact that we're dire and will get fooked in the playoffs wherever we finish.

Best deployment of available resources IMO.

Everyone could see how poor we were tonight. Many realise that a big part of it was having no half backs. If we don't improve in that area then we will struggle. No rocket science there.
