Is it that mental? It’s probably less than what Taylor and Evans salaries. The salary cap is also 2.8m right (before we take exclusions into account)? For a starting player who will improve during the contract it would be about right wouldn’t it.

Think 100K for arguably one of the best young forwards in the SL is maybe a price worth paying. He is a perfect example of the type of forward we need that would see him taking up less then 5% of the salary cap, which when you put it that way makes for better reading.

Judging by smiths comment, I’d be very surprised if we don’t sign skd . Till all recruitment is done , it’s hard to see a positive in signing him , but got to trust smith .

The only way it makes sense to sign SKD, is if he plans to use Carlos in the bavkrow.

No doubting he's the type of character we need in the squad but given his age and the fact he would take up a quota spot let alone if we are looking to use him as a winger would be a big mistake IMO.

The only logic in this signing is that we don't have a proper leader on the pitch and he is that. We're well covered at centre though so I'd be looking for a quota forward instead.

it would be frustrating that we left ourselves short of SR's by refusing to give Manu Mau a 2 year deal if we then go and give a 36 year old centre a two year deal a few months later, granted it is different people making the decisions now.

SKD was and still is a great player but it is a massive risk at his age, if it was a year deal I would almost accept but two years is crazy

I wouldn't be totally against a one year deal for SKD. Offers the leadership we are sadly lacking. He's getting on a bit but is the same age as Ryan Hall I think and he's signed up for another year with that lot.

Heard today Opacic won't be at Rovers next year. That might push them into offering SKD/Wood an extra year anyway.

The SKD deal would be ridiculous. Wrong position and wrong ages. The only funny thing about the deal would SKD would’ve instigated which would annoy a few rovers fans that their captain wants to come to FC

If Rovers only offer him a one year deal but FC are daft enough to offer him two years then good luck to him, of course he'd 'want'to join you, and some might find it annoying your right, but I bet a lot more would find it funny that you'd offer two years at his age.

Personally I think he'll retire ago back home, but that's just my opinion

to be fair it's more right than wrong, in say 80/20. suppose nothing is concrete until the club announce it. As good as SKD has been for Rovers, hope it doesn't happen
