Hopefully, with no early guilty plea, the club can put forward the evidence of several high shots immediately prior to the biff, as well as the ref not penalising them as the reason why Ogre lost his rag, having been hit high again and then had Wild in his face on the ground.

One of the commentators on Humberside had just been saying how poor the standard of refereeing was and then the other pointed out that Cummings was sat about 10 seats away from them. |

Surpised he got off with a fine, especially after seeing him with the clenched fist winding up for the punch in the Mail, and hearing that he couldn't put in an early guilty plea.
I know he got a sin bin for the offence but to me the no ban is more an acknowlegement that Hicks had lost control of the game.
No doubt ex referees will have a different view.....
