I presume that you can't know that he couldn't raise the finance any more than I can know that he can. I'm not having a dig I'm just curious as to which of the upsides you don't think would come out of the proposals if it were to go ahead

I'm also not a multi-millionaire with a proven track record and a business making substantial profits. I do, however, have some knowledge as to how business finance works (I'm not suggesting you don't) and my opinion is that he probably could raise the finance (only my opinion)- still intrested in which parts are myths

The raising if the finance is a very important consideration. If you believe Allam and believe it is possible then super. I can see why you'd trust in his honesty.

If you can read between the lines and see it's going to be very unlikely he can raise these funds and the Sports Village will not be self-sustaining anyway, then you must conclude that Allam knows this too. So why is he saying he will and can? So that the council are persuaded either by referendum, media pressure, or Allam's strong-arm tactics to sell him the stadium for peanuts.

Once he has it, he can borrow - not enough for a Sports Village, but sufficient to make City a more attractive prospect with better players and their own ground. Then watch him skedaddle faster than a 100m sprinter with more money than you could fit in an Olympic-sized swimming pool.

When Allam decides to call in his loan?

Brilliant Mrs B you can see what I mean when I bang on about the Kings new clothes the media just don't want to see what is happening but you did at least make them pause as they drove the public towards a referendum and a wanted conclusion. Our major concern as fans has to be to ensure first and foremost that the tenure of our club is protected and we want answers on the Allams proposals re that, which no one seems to want to specifically ask about.

Pointless developing the car park as acessability is going to be a massive problem that I cannot see being solved. Just look at the traffic at match day, adding on another development would just be ludicrous and I'm sure the residents would object in any case not just to the development itself but also to the masses of PSVs tramping up & down Walton street at all hours for a year or so.
Health & Safety alone would/should be enough to nail any major development into the ground.

The council should be dismissing his proposals out of hand as clearly there's so many reasons not to sell, he's lied, told untruths, is destabilising some of the core foundations of the city and there are no real medium to long term gains to be had either notwithstanding the current ecomonic climate.
IF by some bizaare reason the council cave in to Allam then someone needs to take up the fight to get it overturned as it would be a massive injustice not only to Hull FC but to the residents in the area and the cities population as a whole.

I think you really are living in dreamland. Walton Street a wasteland - who decided that and when. Its been there for as long as we have all been around and just because some 'philanthropist' wants to now 'develop' it you decide to ride (to quote you)on his coat-tails.
