Mathers is almost back to his Leeds form this season, I just don't think we are in the market for a fullback, I reckon Agar has Tansey down as the man for that role.

Wouldn't go anywhere near Karl Pryce, absolute garbage. Leon Pryce would be a good signing, don't like him though, plus he's under contract for 2011. Fielden wouldn't be bad but only if he was on a small wage.

I'd move Berrigan to the centres next season, and have Houghton and Robinson to share the hooking role if possible. Horne has still got a lot to prove if he can be the first choice stand off next season, like someone said, Tansey at 6 and Mathers in at full back would be an improvement at the moment. Willing to give Horne a chance until end of the season when he's fully fit and alongside Long.

Why would we want mathers? Dumped by leeds, wigan and wire for a reason. If he was any good tehn wire wouldn't be using a quota spot an a 30 something aussies replacement

Agreed Paul, RH was in great form before the injury and will be again.. how fickle many are . I too am embarrassed by the comments against RH on here sometimes, if you knoew what that lad went through to play for his club you would not say that, he was just getting back to full fitness when injured again. .
Still one of SL stand out players when fit!!

Smiths already said he doesn't see hodgson playing every game and briers is missing a few games now so they could run with 1. Mathers 6. Briers or 1. Hodgson 6. Briers or 1. Mathers 6. Hodgson plenty of good cover in key postions.

I don't like Mathers. The challenge on Motu in Cardiff just summed him up in one play IMO.

100% with you on this one. The likes of Leeds, Wigan and now Wire have ultimately decided that Mathers is not the FB to kick-on with. If we were to sign Mathers, i think it's a clear statement of us not wanting, or not knowing, how to crowbar our way into the top 4.

Leeds didn't release Mathers he choose to leave to go to the NRL, was very good for Leeds while there and this season seems to be getting that form back.

Sometimes clubs make mistakes in releasing players, I think that warrington will be making a mistake if they release him, and hopfully we will take advantage.
