I don`t want to get into a debate about Briscoe v Whiting t.b.h. Kosh.
I think Whiting is a tremendous player for us.All I am trying to point out is Briscoe is a full back,and whilst with us,in my opinion did a sterling job.For what its worth I think he still has the ability.
All down to personal opinions of course.

2 weeks for a Gross Misconduct offence that may result in dismissal is no time at all. I've known cases where it was very cut and dried yet took over a month as all the evidence needed collating, both the investigation and the disciplinary hearings to take place, then the appeal to be heard. You can add more time on if the accused brings new evidence to the hearing as that needs to be looked into. It can be a really long, drawn out process unfortunately.

It wasn't my intention to get into a debate as such. I'm just curious when people keep saying that Briscoe is a 'proper' FB without defining what it is he brings to the role that others don't.

I like Briscoe, and he did a good job for us no question. But IMO he and Whiting bring pretty much the same to the role with the main difference being that Briscoe is quicker and Whiting smarter.

Anyway - as others have said, it's all in the past and not really worth worrying about.

Correct he had a very very average season last year however he is history now and in my opinion with Whiting we have a cracking , fearless, excellent student of the game who can handle bombs with ease, tall enough to deal with any kicks, big enough to stop anyone dead in their tracks (as vinakolo found out) but most importantly he is such a good reader of the game he could turn out to be a real hero at full back for FC and cement a place there this season because he will definately excel when we are attacking as he will know exactly when to join the line..
AND when the speed issue comes into play it is for sure he is faster than Wellens ever was so he cant be that bad !!!

There's no winners in this situation. We lose a talented player we really need....he spirals into a life of booze and whatever else....probably ending up in a similar situation to other former FC players who have had problems.

The only guy who can sort this out is Jordan, problem is the clock is ticking and the ship has probably sailed!

Has anyone thought of the club using the 'rehab' route? If he is as much of an alcholic as he is made out to be, then this might be an option they're thinking of taking.
He is a talent gone bad, could it be possible to turn him around?

You're quite correct Karen, I had to sack someone within their 6 month probationary period and the amount of evidence you have to supply to justify your reason is unbelievable!!
