Was anyone close enough to see the Catalan try that got called as held up over the line? Looked like he clearly had the ball down and slid well over before we got hands under the ball. People near also thought it was a try but obviously not unhappy with the decision.

i thought it was a try, was suprised to see the ref give the held up signal, both Tj and the in goal judge gave the no try to roby, guess it evened up the lineham try that was harshly ruled out imo

We were sat near to that incident. Was definitely no try, absolute wonder tackle from Briscoe. The strength he showed to keep the Cats player from grounding the ball was amazing.

That's what I thought. It all got a bit confused and we nearly undid all the good work by every one of our players running in to congratulate Briscoe on the tackle, then all being out of position for the re-start. Catalans really should have scored if they had got the ball out wide quicker.

Thought the decision against Hull re the Lineham break was wrong as there was no obstruction at all and was no different to the try Catalans scored. The try they were not given was a try as he clearly slid over the line when the ball was grounded, but I would't be at all suprised if Roby was just evening up the mistake he made with call against Lineham.

Thought Roby was poor to be honest and in all honesty probably not his fault as he should not be put in that position by Cummings as he is clearly out of his depth at SL level.

Yep he wasn't to good, what might improve our attack is if the players get deeper, other sides defences are up to quick on us.

when we did actually deploy the deeper attacking set up, someone behind me started moaning that half our players hadn't bothered to move far enough forward after the previous play

Just watched the game, thought we played pretty well, still our weakness is our pivots, Seymour was poor and Mcgoldrick hit and miss. I like Briscoe at times at FB, as he gets more involved but he still lacks ball skills to make it there just yet.

Our pack was very impressive.

Again the most pleasing thing is our youngsters who just seen to fit in and not look out of place at all, very encouraging for the future.

Watched the game on Hull Fc live and the commentary was awful by DDD, has to be the worlds worst commentator, if the club are looking to improve this service next year, he has to be replaced.

I am going to send an email to the club about the commentary, it is really embarrassing listening to him get the players names wrong, the refs name (for the full game) and going nuts about the ref.

This was my main problem, the majority of things the ref got right, and ddd was still winging about them minutes later.

I like DDD, and have enjoyed his somewhat unique brand of commentary over the years. But he's now become a caricature of his former self. The commentary for the Dragons game is the final straw for me, and they need to get in a 'proper' commentator for next season with DDD relegated to 'colour' at best.

It's a shame, because you can't doubt his passion for the club and some of the things he comes out with are still amusing, but he has to go now IMO.
