Matty Bowen has signed a new deal with the Cowboys - he'd have been a great signing tho as he's on a different level to McKinnon. Personally, if McKinnon is having second thoughts I wouldn't be too bothered as I think Seymour and Heremaia are better signings anyway. Plus, if a player would rather play for Agar than a proper coach then we don't want him anyway. Maybe he can go and play for the 'master coach' at Wakey next season.

I've heard that Chase is under some sort of clause with immigration services (cause he had a court case) and is only allowed to play for Castleford and no other club till that is sorted out.

Think it is to do with his suspended sentence in Aus he's OK till he needs to apply for a new work permit because he changes his place of employment, or something along those lines

And at that point he is likely to be rejected for a visa under the current immigration rules. Not a definate but extremely likely.

Sounds to me like we are targetting a centre/winger. We still lack a prop though and Washy will be the backrow cover it would seem.

Will be interesting to see if he's going to be cover for injuries, or our bench 2nd rower. If we're keeping him and prioritising centre/prop/winger, there isn't anyone in the current squad who jumps out for that spot.

But the fact he picked out Washbrook for a mention when he's out of contract could have meaning. Why else would he mention him unless he expects him to still be here?

Quite possibly. I still just think the same about Sharp, and find it very harsh on him that we seem to be looking to replace him already. If we got the right centre it would do him the world of good, so I just personally see a new winger as less necessary than a new backrower.

Agree with you both here, prop and centre should be our priorities followed by back rower and then, finally, wing.

I'd like to see three players come in. A prop, centre and bench/impact backrower. We can survive without a winger, if we want safe we can play Whiting and if we want someone more dynamic then we have Sharp. I still think with some development in the off season Sharp could be great for us. Very strong and pace to burn.
