its a derby and hammerings are rare and the games are often won by the underdog on the day. team spirit & local pride can play a big part.
that said id love to win by 40+ to make ammends for previous magic humiliations

Magic record is dire, but I'm feeling confident about this one.

Rovers without doubt raise their game for this fixture and will do so again, but on this occasion I think we will have too much for them, not expecting a blow out score but think we will come home with a lead of circa 14 points

It appears that everyone seems to be forgetting the 36-6 victory at home last season (30 point margin).

2007 game very fishy,like you say came into the game in good form played like dog shoite and then went to headingly a week later and won comfortably

If Rovers raised their game and beat us on Saturday, I'd actually be ed off if I was a Rovers fan. After some of the drivel they have served up over the last couple of months, i'd want to know why all of a sudden they can lift it for the derby!!

I'm amazed that the rumour has never gone away about Hull chucking the 6-42 game - the thought of any professional deliberate throwing an RL match is crazy. How can you even subtly do it for a start? Eg if you deliberately drop a ball or miss a tackle surely it would be blatantly obvious? I just never believed the rumour personally.

maybe i want to believe it to explain Hull's woeful display, shaun briscoe missed more 1 on 1 tackles in that game than the rest of his career.

This is the one game that the form book does go out of the window and I fully expect a fired up Rovers side putting in the kind of commited performance that they are only capable of producing in a derby.

Lets hope its the players performances we are talking about after the game and not the officials as well!
