Flanagan is effectively banned in the NRL as a head coach until 2021, so I assume he's free to coach here, he would be a brilliant capture.
If my memory serves me right, I think he was at Castleford as Rapers assistant, so he would be no stranger to these shores.
Paul Green is also unemployed, Would he be a good acquisition? In your opinion.

Green is a weird one because he has won a GF but that was on the back of Thurston and Morgan playing the best rugby of their careers. NQL on paper have had very good teams the past few seasons but done absolutely nothing and by the end of his reign the players basically seemed to give up on him.

Hodgson is a pi$$ poor appointment and it’s a clear lack of ambition, I feel Last can feel really hard done by of this is who is replacing him and I don’t blame him for leaving. Don’t expect to be challenging for anything next season.

Andy Last has respectfully and honourably served our club for many years.
He hinted in an interview not long back that it's possibly time for pastures new if he wasn't to get the main gig.
He'll go with best wishes for his future.

Let's hope the non-club Hullites get squarely behind the new gaffer and don't start immediately whining if we only have a steady start to 2021.

Enlighten us as to what we should do then

1. how do we know who has applied for the job. we can't appoint people who haven't applied
2. no chance of getting a NRL coach as we cannot offer a comparable salary to Aus
3. plenty of NRL assistants have done well and won things with other clubs - anderson, mcguire, elliot, even price. tony smith came over here with no head coaching experience
