Hope its accurate, I was all for keeping him if we dudbt sign Lam, but think it's best for all parties if he moves on, hope for some more luck at his new club.

It must be frustrating for him when inaccuracies about his wages and reasons for leaving are stated on social media. Fans can be a 14th man on the pitch but equally can affect a players confidence. I am always impressed by Wakefield fans whose team seem often to reflect the their good spirit. I think a lot of Hull fans are objective and wish the best for players. Some comments I see which are unnecessarily hypercritical imo come from sources who seem to have the answer to everything and little access to fact. Perhaps Scott is referring to these'"

Having a pop at a young kid making his way in the game lacking confidence is pathetic.

Happens to most players who go through a bad few games in every sport, particularly at struggling clubs. Barron has the right attitude, just crack on and try and prove people wrong.

| With the injuries stacking up for Trueman, you'd have to ask why would Wakefield be interested in signing him now.

Scenarios like the above are one of the more disquieting aspects of the modern world.
There's always been supporters voicing an opinion towards players (i.e. slagging them off) particularly when a team aren't doing very well, but 30/40 years ago those opinions were largely confined to people sounding off to their mates in the pub on a Saturday/Sunday night. Within a few minutes those opinions, however vociferous, had disappeared into the wind, never to be heard again!
Now, of course, we have the joys of social media, where people ranting and blowing off steam (whether justly or unjustly) is not only recorded and available to view but, more importantly, can reach an audience way beyond a drunken few listening in the boozer! Everything on social media has a habit of appearing amplified, made worse by the ability for it to happen behind the mask of anonymity. These past ten days (post-Southport) have seen the ramifications of unregulated opinion in a way unimaginable in the past.
Communication is a wonderful thing, the basis of any true democracy, but there are times when the new modern media (in all its forms) can bring out the very worst traits in human behaviour in a way which does not reflect well on all of us as an (allegedly) civilised society. As I said earlier, people have always had opinions, sometimes very forceful opinions, but it is the way those opinions have become disseminated that separates the present from the past.

| Good luck to him but a massive risk by Wakefield with a three year deal.
26 games in two seasons just not good business for a marquee player.

For us he has been decent when he has been on the pitch but sadly that hasn't been enough.

| Well that's a surprise! Playing in the play offs for Wakey!
"That transfer has now been completed, with Trueman being released from the final year of his deal at Hull FC to switch clubs and return to West Yorkshire to link up with Daryl Powell once again.
But notably, Wakefield completed the deal for Trueman with immediate effect before the deadline for transfers passed earlier this month. They signed him on a permanent arrangement before effectively loaning him back to Hull FC for the remainder of their fixtures in the 2024 Super League season".

surely no one on here can honestly say he was anywhere near a good player playing for Hull FC never mind Marquee standard.
Carried for most of last season by Clifford and you cant keep blaming his injuries for ever for his average perfomances
At least the club realise he is a dud by letting him go even if we dont have another halfback in place

Surley Wakey don't risk playing him, they will be in SL no matter what happens and will won the plsy offs without him.
I'd be getting him fit for next season.

they've made a bit of a thing of him playing in the play offs though. Maybe he'd just had enough of us and is OK to play really

They haven’t. Powells interview said he’s unsure if he will play as other players have gone through the season to get to the finals.
We have been playing with no halfback though for around a month now so it is a possibility but I’d say it won’t happen unless absolutely necessary.
Regards Trueman. Not long ago he was looking like the next England halfback but sometimes players just don’t go well at some clubs and find a new lease of life at others. Happens a lot.
The one thing Trinity have is amongst the best back room fitness and physio team I’ve seen in many years. I believe we have gone big on England back room staff and a very accomplished back room. I’ve barely seen one of our players blowing this season and some of our players look the filtest and sharpest I’ve seen. I know it’s championship but bodes well and hopefully an environment we can get the best of of True man from. Trinity wouldn’t sign him if they weren’t confident he could find that form. He won’t be short of competition with Ollie Russell, Mason Lino, Lawford and a capable stand in Max Jowitt.
Will probably help with our forward pack. Our forwards are continually putting us on the front foot (something I hope transitions to SL).
