OK - a few points to consider...

There is no reason to suspect that Agar was involved in or aware of the cover-up orchestrated by Rule. People should be very careful of suggesting otherwise as it could easily be considered defamatory.

People should also be careful of calling the story regarding Gleeson's mental illness part of the cover-up and thereby trying to implicate Agar. As the HDM pointed out a few days ago there is zero evidence to suggest that Gleeson's depression was invented as part of the scheme or that it was even exaggerated by the club. In fact they were at some pains to point out that as far as they could tell it was entirely genuine.

There was actually a fair amount of goodwill towards Agar at the time of his departure. Most posters, while not rating him as a coach and wanting him gone, believed that he was basically a decent bloke promoted beyond his competency. However it has since become apparent that he was most likely involved in the departure of Luke Briscoe to Leeds and this has cost him much or all of that goodwill.

Well said. I had always considered him to be a good assistant coach but was beyond taking that step up. Saying that, after what happened with Kear & Sharp, if he was my assistant, I'd be constantly looking over my shoulder. Similarly, I'd also be wary of taking a job as his assistant.

I'm glad he's gone and as far as I'm concerned, he can get on with whatever he wants, providing it doesn't impact on Hull FC

Tbf Kosh some on here, not me I must confess I mainly backed Agar and Rule, have had Agar worked out for ages.

My irritation with the suggestion that Agar was somehow involved in the cover-up was probably born out of the fact that since he signed for us, we've had a steady stream of daft posts on our forum from the small contingent of Hull fans who seem to have a personal vendetta against the guy. It's good to know that the prevailing view is a bit more sensible - I guess we all have our eccentrics.
