If the Australian authorities haven't applied for extradition he need not go back and without that application the police over here would be powerless as he's done nothing wrong over here.
There seems to be an awful lot of people here inferring he is guilty on the basis that it is '10 counts' and that he has being named for arrest..those of you binning him off before any court have already decided he's guilty without any facts whatsoever!
IF he is found guilty, of course but until he is I think it's pretty bad form the way a lot of people here are talking..
and IF he is found not guilty/charges dropped then I'd be wary of what some posters are writing because it is bordering on libel if you ask me.

I think it got rubbished last week. Their lawyer said any talk of legal action was premature.

Why cant the player take 2 weeks unpaid leave and see whats doing, after all, thats all it is, hes innocent isnt he? he goes to cop shop, tell them he was with his lass on the times of the events and its all gravy, we get a player back after a coulple of weeks who can continue to warm the bench

If he's innocent then let the aussie authorities force him to go back and pay him and us appropriate compensation afterwards.

If he goes back and is bailed, he will not be able to fly back here. That will be a condition with such a serious offence.

Exactly, IF there was that much evidence against him the Australian authorities would have presented them to the UK police and enforce an extradition, at the moment the Autralian police are saying please come back we'd like to arrest you but we can't compile enough evidence to support that as yet so we can't force you to be extradited..and if it is class A then you'd think UK plod would be only to happy to help.

As it stands Michaels doesn't have to prove anything, innocent before PROVEN guilty is the same over there as it is in the UK..but not obviously on this forum

it's the authorities whom have to have sufficient evidence to follow it through.
If and when that happens then we should just shut up and let the club deal with it.
