How does that work when a player's wage is set out in his contract?

Trouble with that is that both sides need to agree. Can't see Horne accepting short payment on the rest of his contract when he'd be unlikely to get such a good deal elsewhere.

Yup. It would have had to have been an immediate cut, which would have meant renegotiating the contracts of every existing player before Brough was allowed to be registered.

Would Wild and Robinson be decent aditions......both solid players but i would hope we would get better.

Or players had to re-negotiate contracts etc?? If it is true then its a massive upheaval for a side that didnt need to sign him.

As is said though, the Wild one is the one i heard is nailed on, the robbo one i would take with a pinch of salt

wild has had a lot of injury problems this year

Wild had a great season in 2007 but hasn't performed to that standard since, and his last year has been full of injuries, wouldn't want him to be honest, also will be turning 30 at the beginning of next season.

Robinson I think would be a great signing, use him at hooker for 2011 and then move him in the halves in 2012 when Long is gone.

You just know we'll end up with wild and robinson will stay put

That's the most likely scenario.

He also played 25 +games last season. I still wouldn't sign him.

We've signed Westerman so where would Wild fit? Centre?

How many LFs do we need, particularly when we really just play 3 props?

If Westerman has signed then it's goodbye Washbrooke and Tickle ,Also bums the Wild rumor.

Whiting is a centre.

Hardly, Wild can play numerous positions. Think it spells the end for both Washy and Dowes if true though.
