It is my understanding, FWIW, that Rovers retention is almost done.
Lovegrove , Cox and Hall amongst others ,already signed up.
The only outstanding contract left is Galeas.

If thats the case and im not saying it isnt wouldnt you have expected the club to have anounced it straight away just to give your fans another big lift (not that you need it at the minute)

I think we"ll sign 1 of either watts or lovegrove . Was thinking lovegrove until he was captain on Monday and i thought we did we want watts this season when we have plenty of forwards . Does anyone think we're getting watts now and paying him a lot more this season out of McKinnons wage so we have more to spend next season on hopefully a couple of top signings .

watts would be a good addition for this season bit of go forward is needed and he just needs a fresh start dont become crap overnight do you!

Which is why I think we might look for a fee. I think he'll go, but the HDM story looked like a manoeuvre on his part rather than an agreed position, with the club response that followed. Depends how much gelt he's on. If his last deal was negotiated around the time he was named in the [ufull[/u England squad (Feb 2011), we might just be happy to be unburdened of his wage.

2 Season ago I said I think we should try and get Watts, looked a very good prospect at the time. Not sure how he has been over the last season or so, but it was clear potential is there with this kid and he is still very young for a prop forward. Worth a shot I reckon and won't cost alot.

It's ok signing these lesser names if there attitude is spot on and are willing to learn . Suppose I'd be happy with Kearney at full back if we also signed a very good stand of and prop from nrl . Can't sign all super stars , it's about getting the balance right .
