Disciplinary procedure can be a long and drawn out affair - when I had to put one of my employees through it, it took a while to get witness reports, legal advice etc. plus he has the right to appeal, which is 2 weeks i think after a decision has been made. Maybe he has been sacked, but we cannot announce anything because that 2 weeks isnt up yet, and if he does appeal and wins then the press release will have been premature

Disciplinaries are very lengthy processes and as I said earlier, if the club are wanting to get rid they have to make sure there are no come backs and all is done correctly.

This is Agar's team (hell he's spent so long getting there) and he should have the final say.

If he does want rid and is undermined by being overRuled on this he should take matters into his own hands (like Morgan did with Cooke) and and simply not pick Tansey to play.

Agar is the department manager. Whilst he will be asked his opinion it will be down to the Disciplining manager, usually a top manager, to make the decision.

Forget the fact this is a sports team and that this is a very high profile disciplinary. The law has to be adhered to, to the letter, and the personal feelings of Agar or the board don't come into it.

Undoubtedly. But the decision to apply those laws will come down to whether Agar and the board want to keep him or not.

I hope the decision has been made to sack him - by Agar with the board's backing - and the club's disciplinary procedures are robust enough for Tansey's representatives not to find a loophole to get round it.

If he does stay, against the wishes of the club, then I hope Agar is strong enough to keep him on the sidelines. There are more ways than one to skin a cat.

IF he stays then he plays, no point paying him to sit on the sidelines, IF he stays and plays and doesn't work hard THEN he gets left on the sidelines.

Sounds like he's lost the support of his team mates and most of the fans. Cannot understand why Agar would want to keep him with a mountain to climb in the dressing room.
