| Disciplinary procedure can be a long and drawn out affair - when I had to put one of my employees through it, it took a while to get witness reports, legal advice etc. plus he has the right to appeal, which is 2 weeks i think after a decision has been made. Maybe he has been sacked, but we cannot announce anything because that 2 weeks isnt up yet, and if he does appeal and wins then the press release will have been premature

Disciplinaries are very lengthy processes and as I said earlier, if the club are wanting to get rid they have to make sure there are no come backs and all is done correctly.

Indeed, if it's as cut and dried as I am led to believe then there is no need for it to have taken so long, unless FC's contracts are poorly constructed to cater for such circumstances.
It isn't good for the squad to have the uncertainty.

Depends on the company though doesnt it....our appeals are 5 days after the disciplinary letter is issued or is it more for dismissals?

This is Agar's team (hell he's spent so long getting there) and he should have the final say.
If he does want rid and is undermined by being overRuled on this he should take matters into his own hands (like Morgan did with Cooke) and and simply not pick Tansey to play.

Is that 5 working days though? 5 working days is still 7 overall days as weekends are taken into account.

I'm pretty certain, if he stays, that he wont be in the side and we are training with the 17 that will play at Cardiff. I think the players seem to have distanced themselves from him anyway and are completely focussed

Rovers' board learnt to their cost that to employ someone against the wishes of the coach is an expensive mistake - short term gain, long term pain.
If Agar's opinion is ignored then Tansy shouldn't be selected. Wonder how long the board will be happy to pay him for sitting in the stands.

Forget the fact this is a sports team and that this is a very high profile disciplinary. The law has to be adhered to, to the letter, and the personal feelings of Agar or the board don't come into it.

Undoubtedly. But the decision to apply those laws will come down to whether Agar and the board want to keep him or not.
I hope the decision has been made to sack him - by Agar with the board's backing - and the club's disciplinary procedures are robust enough for Tansey's representatives not to find a loophole to get round it.
If he does stay, against the wishes of the club, then I hope Agar is strong enough to keep him on the sidelines. There are more ways than one to skin a cat.

IF he stays then he plays, no point paying him to sit on the sidelines, IF he stays and plays and doesn't work hard THEN he gets left on the sidelines.

Last chance for me was when he cost us the play-offs last year.
Sounds like he's lost the support of his team mates and most of the fans. Cannot understand why Agar would want to keep him with a mountain to climb in the dressing room. If politics, such as inadequate disciplinary procedures or the board wanting to keep him because of monies invested, force him to stay against the wishes of the coach then Agar should take matters into his own hands.
Tansey won't change no matter how many chances he has. By some accounts he was sticking 2 fingers up at us all again last night in Headingley. Do we want to wait again 'til he's dropped in another crucial match and ruins our season?
I say if he stays he doesn't play. Force him to find another club or his career stagnate in Hull. There's every point, in this unique instance, in paying him to sit on the sidelines if that's what it takes to get rid.
