if rumours are to be believed naughton will be fb for us next season, so would be keeping Lancaster out. plus, what would that mean for those '2 outside backs' we are supposed to be signing?

micheals has been a lot sharper in recent weeks and looks a good player, with a good partnership with logan, but as said, not worth a quota spot.

Big risk if we are going with Naughton as our only FB, considering he has never played a game there in SL.

Must keep either Rankin or Shaul (He obviously wants to stay, whatever he has done it can't be worst than what Hardraker has done and you don't see Leeds binning him off)

Agree on Micheals, think it's the wrong decision to retain him.

Edit: Although, with Lineham leaving that leaves us with only Lancaster & Talanoa for the wing spot. But I think Talanoa will move to Centre, leaving us with only Lancaster. Then we'd have room to sign Vidot & offer Micheals a deal as a back up to those two.

That would be a great signing for any SL club, struggling to get games at the Dragons, but when he does looks an excellent player, surprised another NRL don't sign him, but if he comes to SL, then I hope it's to us.

No way should michaels be a first choice player and no way should a quota spot be used on a back up option.

I would rather we offered Michaels a one year deal than Yeaman as he offers so much more, but only if we cant sign a better player to take up his quota spot.

Because Rankin is better.

You obviously see a lot more of them both than i do but my opinion is rankin is average and shaul is a match winner for me i would much rather Rankin play on Friday then shaul (although this may come back to bite me)

Rankin was a match winner last week.

Rankin is just a better rounded player for me. Shaul is the better broken field runner (but Rankin is good in this area too), he's also better under a high ball. Rankin comes into the line better, he also has better positioning and organises the line better. There's not much to choose in speed, support play and tackling.

Shaul I suppose is the more likely to do something spectacular, but we look a better attacking outfit with Rankin there.

Pretty equal, both have strengths and weaknesses, you have probably seen Rankin in the halfs were he is pretty average, he's a good FB.

Shauls on the naughty step, seems a mirror image of what happen to Crooks which concerns me.

You ar right they have different qualities.
It should be a strength for the club to have 2 good players pushing for the FB role, possibly 3 with naughton.
But we have to many "professionals" in sport dropping their purses as soon as a bit of competition comes along, & that is the attitude coaches won't put up with.
