Alot of over reactions imo. Off course we should be beating Salford but the best teams in the world have days were it just doesnt happen.

Would be interesting to see how many times Salford actually got into our 30 without penaltys. We looked ok in spells playing a good set with a good kick and keeping them in there half but penalys killed us imo.

McKinnon looked classy again. Thought Tickle dropped off a few tackles with Bowden going well in D. Houghton was blowing with 15mins, i've been saying from the back end off last season that teams target him so he has to make alot of tackles which takes juice outta him which showed in the last 15.

I don't understand all this talk of losing it in the forwards. We had no problem clearing our lines most of the night and for the most part restricted Salford from making meters. It was a few dumb plays and really poor discipline that allowed Salford the field position to score.

Seymour and mckinnon seem to have a great understanding . Thought Bowden tackled well when he came on just a lot of the other players didn't turn up and perform

It's a test of Gentle's mettle how he lifts the squad for next weekend.

We beat Warrington last season but drew this season....does that mean its a step back........your post is flawed as the way you put it,Teams arent allowed to improve.

We need to improve our finishing position, indeed this our stated intention. Last year we got 4 points from the same three fixtures, this year we've got 3. Of course other teams can improve, but for us to improve our finishing position we need to be getting more points. Salford are not a team we should be losing against if we want to step on this year IMO. I was hoping to close the gap between us and Leeds, Huddersfield, Catalans, but not to lose a fixture against Salford. It's disappointing.

How can a Super League coach expect to win a game away from home in this league if he leaves one of his subs on the bench for the full 80 minutes and another one for 72 minutes?
Cant decide if Peter Gentle is nieve or arrogant. I was praising him yesterday for giving your promising youngsters a chance. I may have jumped the gun.

If you had seen the state of Bowden when he went off you wouldnt have put him back on he looked like he was going to collapse, hunched over and walking off the pitch.

Think with Nicklas it was hard to find a time to bring him on because Houghton only started looking fatigued in the last 15 and you cant expect Gentle to bring Nicklas on cold given the way the game was going.

My sentiments are that Gentle has been an assistant coach at NRL and national level and you haven't. He was also party to information regarding the players' condition during the game and you weren't. I reckon, therefore, that Gentle knows more than you about it.

Some people just want to have a cheap shot at the earliest opportunity thats how this board rolls isnt it? How people can assess final league postions at this stage of the season baffles me because every team in SL will have bad days at the office.

How we respond to this defeat will be interesting and I am sure Gentle learnt more about his team in defeat last night then in any other game so far this year.

I think what dissapoints alot of people is this type of performance has been a regular occurance for quite a few years now. Not me i dont care to much its only early doors. Lets hope the players learn alot more than the coach.

I think too much emphasis on the old regime clouds peoples judgement personally.
