Legally yes, innocent until proven guilty. Sadly for Gareth in the business world employees in positions like this are meant to ensure that brand names and therefore the value of the brand are not devalued due to their behaviour, especially as a public figure like he is.

I hope he is found not guilty, however, the damage to next season could well be significant and the damage done to our clubs name currently isnt helpful. I dont have time for any kind of behaviour like this. I said previously i'd have dismissed him for his previous conviction.

As far as I am concerned he should have been cut loose after the last scumbag episode, fine example our club set, no wonder we have problems like mentioned in the other thread

How can we criticise our fans for scumbag behaviour when their hero's are allowed to carry on playing after a rascist attack.

As ive said in my point above, i agree. There are options for FC to discuss here, and i hope they show some balls if they decide that the right thing to do is to get rid. Raynor would leave a hole but it would also then give an opportunity to Tom Briscoe. (or a new signing)

Would he though?

He's a class act, he takes a lot of work off our forwards, has real pace and is one of the best finishers in the league. He is still an england winger for me. I just think if we have a long term plan it will either be to keep raynor til his contract expires in a year or so and then allow him to leave due to his age, or get shot now. I do still really rate him though, he is probably still the best english winger there is.

I must of been watching a different Raynor to some of you lol, i think he has been crap, he is fantastic at running sideways but hardly done buggar all going forward, we could replace him with a crab

Do we stand by Raynor and have the uncertainty/ bad press/ player disruption that this will bring well into next season? We can probably cope without Raynor the player if injuries dont kick in but the cloud hanging over him will probably have a negative impact on the club.

The crew coming in are no angels, in fact one of field has a very dodgy past to live down.

None of the players coming in have made mistakes whilst at our club though Ian thus damaging our brand.

We've had far too many off field distractions over the last three or four years. IF he is found guilty then the club should get rid.

Let's not over react here. What he has allegedly done is stupid but do any of you really think that outside of Hull or even this forum any one is going to give a sh1 t about what is going on, I think not.
He is still one of the best wingers in the game today, pace, can score tries great defence and only goes sideways looking for gaps, so wanting to get rid because of this incident is such an over reaction.

And by the way he doesn't do films anyway.

Always. The problem too aswell is that 1000 positives are undone by 1 negative. There's a lot of good stuff that goes on with FC, just these stupid instanced of things then undo all of the good work.

I'm a big fan of Raynor's playing ability. However, his record off the field, if found guilty, has reached a tipping point. If guilty, this was going on whilst he was awaiting trial on assault charges. Arrogance, greed, stupidity, all the above would apply. Disappointing that it will drag on until next season.

In which case, he still owes me a few beers!! (and he conveniently didnt remember last time i reminded him!!)
