So.....Has anyone heard any more about Crookes signing for us? I know alot of people don't like Sharp but he does alot for the team. Shame scoring more tries isn't one of them. I honestly don't see what bringing in Crookes will bring to the team, if it's as back up then I would be more willing to give Lineham that opportunity. Apparently Sharp was told a couple of weeks ago that he won't be at Hull next season, and if true then I would be more than happy with Broughton. But with him having a another job aswell that could make things harder for us to tempt him away from Salford.

When Pearson took over, he said the advantage RL had over football was the relative low transfer fees (not that there are many nowadays).
Maybe the fee for Chase won't scare him off.

Bradford fans seem to think he would be badly missed if he left. Often a good sign.

I think we need to hold tight & see who the club end up signing. I still think we'll end up signing a name that has not been mentioned yet.

I think he'd do a decent job for us, probably only for a year though.

The biggest thing we are missing is that one good youngster each year, just one, that becomes a first team regular. Makes recruitment so much easier and more focussed. Sadly in the last 3 seasons, we have had none. Hence why we appear to require almost half a team.

id be happy with a front row of elima lynch ocarrol bowden watts. if moa stays fantastic if not then replace him with a big islander and we could match anyones pack
elima would be a great signing very good go forward and can offload and defense isnt to shabby either
i would not want kearney at fullback would not be any better then horne imo. mcdonnell for me and a new stand off is a must for next season horne to the bench

I've posted this before, we've got plenty of room on the cap to sign 3 quality additions. We also need to sign a back up half's and a back up full back if the staff don't believe Lyne, Nicklas, Ellis (he's gone anyway) can do it.

I think we need 5/6 props. Lynch, NRL prop, Elima, O'carroll, Bowden & Watts. I'd be happy with that.

As for Kearney I don't rate him, as a fullback he's okay but as a stand off jesus christ no!!


Crookes will be the next one announced I would imagine.

Would be happy with those 5 props plus an NRL player, Elima (would rather sign Lovegrove) and Watts could also play in the backrow if needed.

FB and Stand off are the key. I certainly make a move for Mcdonnell, who I have to admit looked poor,but has been very impressive recently.

I'd be happy with that,always seems a handful,runs the ball with aggression and fits the mobile pack we seem to aiming for. Not shabby defensively either.

Be happy with that a good young player, who improves each year.

Use to have problems in defence, but that seem to be better this year.

I'd be shocked if we don't sign at least one more NRL player, with Gentle contacts.

That's why I mentioned 6 props, Watts can cover the back three too. Lovegrove could also do this as he can play all over including wing and standoff.

I would sign Lovegrove but not Watts who has attitude issues and can't get in Hull KR's team whether he's talented or not.

I like McDonnell but widnes bound isn't he .

My worry is that we appear to be drifting from the 'young and English' with Elima/Lovegrove/McDonnell.......hope Elima is a smokescreen for Burgess/Copzcak.

if you continue on the post i state that if moa stays or we sign like for like that would match anyones front row and it would. its not the pack that needs to improve its the creativity in the halves and a specialised fullback then we would be challenging for honours imo
