Wouldnt always need to spend cap to release a player. Thacks is contracted too i believe. (its always worth paying someone off imo if they are never going to play or offer the squad something)

Thacks is OOC so would not cost anything, anyway we have loads of spare cap this year so they could fund any payoffs from his years cap rather than using next years.

It would make sense as it's highly unlikely we will bring anyone in to use this years cap.

I guess if we're being idealistic and aspirational we would see:
Dowes
Lauaki
New prop
Radord/Fitzgibbon
Moa/Maloney (for development)

with King, cusack and Thacks gone?

I'd keep one of King Thacks and one of Moa/Maloney. It's hard to say who as it depends on who the potential prop would be that we might bring in.

A prop and centre have been mentioned as areas to stregnthen, anyone going to put any names out there as possibles?

Not if Radford/Fizt are playing in the backrow.

Fitz is playing prop in Oz currently i believe and doing very well there, Radford has played as a 3rd prop for all this season. Not sure why we would use either in the back row nexy season effectively making them out of position?

Think Fitz has been playing 13 but he can play anywhere in the pack. If we sign another prop then I expect him to be playing in the backrow.

Crabtree or Griffin from Shudds.

Out of those 4 i would keep Thacks and Maloney.

Been really impressed with Maloney when i've seen him play.
He's a strong runner and puts in some cracking hits as well.

Prefer Crabtree, Griffen is a big unit but too inconsistent. Think EC has signed a new deal anyway tbh.

TBH i'd prefer Griffin. Has a real aggressive streak in him and has put on some size. He also a much better defender than Crabtree imo.

Crabtree is awful, he just stumbles around the field, no agression to him nowadays.
