I read on here how Long will bite back and tell players and coaching staff if things are going wrong and if things need changing, are you guys to assume he is having no say at all?

Our attack coach is Agar, so you can assume Long is having no input at all,judging by their performances.

If he was injured he shouldn't have played but he did and was cr@p!! Just like the last 4/5 years!! He's average at best, and has to go...

Horne has been great for Hull FC for 8 years the last 2 years, plus most this season he has been poor.

He seems to get too many injuries these days, also illness and injuries havent helped and I think his days at Hull FC are coming to an end.

He use to make regular breaks, this hasnt happened for the last few years on a regualar basis.

Also whats happned to his defence he use to be one of the best defenders in SL, now his defence is poor.

Drop him or play him at FB, with Tansey at 6.

hes been injured for the majority of the last 2 seasons, and granted hes not been at his best in the last few matches, but previous to that he was showing glimpses of his best, and to say he has been cr*p for the last 4/5 years??? id say you take a look at past matches, you may have a change of opinion, but judging of your previous posts, id say you wont, \horne was garbage yeaterday, as was others, and to single him out the way you are, to me shows you know sweet FA!!!!

Hmmm, when I came on here after the Leeds win in the cup match, basically asking what had happened to Richard Horne, I was pretty much accused of being a sick, no nowt, insensitive c**t!!

Seems a number of Hull fans actually agree with my sentiments. Shame on those people making out I was a troll picking on somebody with an illness.

Simple fact is I have an opinion like everyone else on here!! Some will slag off hall, tansey, agar, radford etc..... My opinion is as I have stated before Horne isn't as good as some like to think!! He is certainly not the worst player in the world but, as I have also said, he is; 1) in our highest 5 earners at the club, but nowhere near the 5 best players at the club. 2) if he cannot play well without the most successful scrum half in superleague than why is he here? Should we sign Paul Cooke back just to get him playing well again?? There are many players I'd rather see who can play in many other positions aswell as their 'specialist' one!!

And to say I know nothing just because I have an opinion is ridiculous, I'm comfortable with my knowledge and the length of time I've been watching fc!!

TBF it is difficult to take someone seriously when they start ranting from the outset and claim that Horne was the worst player on the pitch when that was clearly Hall. In fact Tansey and Turner were probably marginally worse than Horne when you consider that they were fully fit.

There are a few problems here:

Firstly Richard Horne has never been able to boss a game (look back to when he was made skipper in front of Cooke), he is also not a creative half, he sniffs tries on the back of others' creativity.

He was clearly injured yesterday, taking the field with only slightly fewer bandages than Imhotep.

I am still convinced that he is suffering from some form of psychological fallout from what was, in anyone's book, a very serious neck injury.

He is also suffering, the same as every other squad member, from playing to the directions of a clueless buffoon, who spends three years assembling "his" squad and thinks his job is done after the 1st game of the season.

I'm in Florence and it's p1ssing down with rain like you wouldn't believe. It's going to rain for three days which coincides with my return to the UK. But you know what I'm still pleased that I wasn't in Edinburgh watching Horne and his mates fail again. Horne has never been a half back , he used to be a strong tackling centre playing in the halves with a half decent stand off , but he's been nothing since he left. he's spiralled downwards at an alarming rate. Probably all sorts of reasons and I'm certain he still tries hard but he's slow , injured , ill , can't pass , tackle or ( especially ) kick there's not a lot of wonder he's struggling. The only stupid thing is that we keep paying him to not be able to do what is necessary AND defend him when he is so so poor. He's not on his own as many have pointed out but he really needs a change of direction or club or job........A new coach may help but he won't get that with us. If he moved he'd end up with an ex Hull coach like Kear or McCrae , no one else would come in for him at the money he would want. Sad but ............

how many times does horne drop the ball off, its the same move about 3 times per set, thats if we complete one, absolutly awfull

i asked tommy lee about that the other year and he said thats the coaches tactics. Horne wont choose to play a boring game just for the fun of it

big dave, i can believe that aswell, but he could somtimes dummy and test out the line himself, try and make a half break and get a quick play the ball, but as we can all see, agars tactics are well passed their sell by date.

I would put Horne to f/back...I know Tansey has had a few rough games lately but I would put him in the h/backs, as he is more creative than Horney with ball in hand

And I would put Whiting in the centre as he is wasted on the wing, Oh and I would put Hall in the Under 15s, he will have to start on the bench though..

The only position I can see Horne playing is at stand off along side an organising and creative scrum half. Wouldn't play him full back as Tansey and Whiting are better, not at centre as Yeaman, Whiting and probably T. Briscoe are better than him.

There's a possibility that Long will be fit. If Horne is also [ifully[/i fit then the two of them will be the halves. If Horne isn't 100% I'd leave him out and give Whiting a go at 6 partnering Long.

Leave Tansey at FB, Turner to centre as he isn't a half back. Not sure who to play on the wing - no good choices really.

Well if Long manages to make an appearance, then yes I agree if Horne fit leave him there, or if not I would play Tansey with him, Tansey has been pants the last few games though I do recognise a good player in him so I would be tempted to play him in the halfs, I would put Whiting at f/back and Turner in the centres, I would bring a young one in on the wing or is Jack Brisoce ready yet?

Lets start blooding the youngsters at least they may be more interested than most of the senior players were on Saturday, most of them never even smiled at the fans who cheered the bus in on Saturday... Only Radders who really acknowledged the fans

I honestly don't think there's any point messing about with Whiting at FB when he doesn't want to play there and we've signed Tansey as our FB. He may be having a bad spell but he's hardly a disaster, and Whiting is wasted at FB - he's defensively sound but isn't as effective in attack. He needs to see the ball more and be in a pivotal position.
