Sammutt would be a fantastic signing, as I feel he genuinely does have the talent to replace Long long-term and not just be cheap backup.

That guy's recruitment and particularly his retention took our squad so far backwards that we still haven't recovered.

again if horne can stay fit he will come good i reckon, just like the start of last season before the injuries started, he could always be back up hooker or fb

Signing another halfback could actually spur Horne on to put in the performances he is capable of.

think you are being bit harsh tbh, injury free horne can still offer us something, we always look lost before when he was out injured before we had signed the likes of long

I agree he was poor for a large part last season, but then we were relying on him to do things he just does not do. We saw in a couple of the earlier games that he still has it in him to produce some very good performances to say he is not capable any more is very harsh.

Any halfback signed will be 1st choice with Long and Horne`s injury records.

Sammut would be superb, would be first choice at either 6 or 7, although that's why I don't think it will happen, if we bring someone in it will be a back up on a short term deal.

Sammut plays 7 doesn't he with Witt at 6 ?

I think we could accomadate both him and long....Long down 1 side,Sammut down other with Westerman and Tansey as middle pivits.
