Jesus Christ, I always thought he was completely over-rated, and thought his attacking prowess was massively over-exaggerated, but I never thought he was moronic enough to let himself be seen to be out boozing under the current circumstances. It is quite possible that Tansey has been failed by the game, as have many before him. Taking the individual out of the matter, and the fact that it's an FC player, when will RL start to take pastoral care of young players, mow many careers are going to be ruined by alcohol before the game takes some responsibility?

I completely agree the individual is at fault, but there is little or no support available or given to young players.

Tansey should be sacked, but he should also be given support and encouraged to seek help, he obviously has some genuine issues with alcohol.

How do you count for every other young person in the country, an example being uni where most youngsters go through a lets get piissed all the time stage yet the majority go on to understand the responsibilities of life.I would argue young RL players have more pastoral care than most professions offer.
