Really good article IMO, a small piece of the expansionist agenda. IMO we're far better to be involved in trying stuff than detracting from the sidelines.

Hmmm, I doubt it's anywhere near that much. There was already a discussion on the VT which basically outed that figure as a nonsense, even Wigan fans were saying it was pie in the sky.
If the club net a high 5 or low 6 figure sum from it it'll still be a financial success at the very least

Absolutely. The fact that we've taken a squad of 27 suggests there's been a healthy budget to go at.

| Quote The match was officially a Wigan home game, but the Warriors fans were comfortably outnumbered by Hull FCsupporters. The Hull fans set up camp in the northern end of the field, filling the stadium’s northern stand. Once there, the fans chanted and sung and supported their club for the entire 80 minutes. '"

| So injury wise houghton and watts have muscle tears - 4 to 8 weeks at a guess? connor has a pcl, whatever that means but played on. Anyone know anything about pcl injuries? is it just rest or will he need an operation? Others were just bangs so should be back for the cas game.
Danger now is we have a makeshift team for next week and get battered out of sight

Hakim Miloudi on social media at Manchester airport. Could be visiting family in France obviously.
Carlos for Connor and Hadley for Houghton are decent replacements but Watts is in our top 3 players IMO and a huge miss.

Yeah I know what it is but not really heard much about how severe an injury to it is. Knee injuries always seem to be acl which generally requires reconstruction surgery

| PCL can repair itself in a few weeks, unlike ACL which usually require surgery.
Obviously it depends on the severity, and whether there is other damage.
Apparently, you can injure your PCL but show no symptoms, probably why Connor continued playing.

And yet Wigan seem to be doing just fine with one loss and second behind Saints having played one game less?
It's not the trip, the problems lie elsewhere and it always will do until people realise that we aren't going to get any better than 2016 (when we had the best team in the league and pretty much an injury free season) unless we make changes.
We need an attack coach and a sports psychologist at the very least, I'd say the latter is much more important than the former.

Leeds and Wigan are both big clubs and have the knowledge and ability to cope with things like the OZ trip/playing in WCCs. We are a medium club trying to be one of the big boys and as such are not capable of coping with the demands of WCCs etc.........at the moment
I honestly believe some of the team are still coming down from the trip and have forgotten what got them there - hard work

I've seen no evidence to back this up.
We have some key personnel missing, and specifically ahead of the Salford game we had some major squad disruption and for some reason the players never seem to be up for Salford away. Don't forget, the week before we travelled to Leeds on a horrible Thursday night with a very young squad and should've won. We'll see what response the players have this weekend.
Sometimes as fans wed well too much on one result, similar to Rovers this week with their Grand Final ambitions after a win against a crap Huddersfield team.

And I would say that the latter would be a total waste of time and money and the former may help - but only if it was the right person.
Do we really need dozens of coaches? By all means bring in specialists for certain aspects like kicking but do we want to end up like the England RU set up which has over 30 backroom staff - fat lot of good that did.
Sports psychologists in a team environment pure bull merchants. They may have some use in an individual precision sport like golf, snooker, darts for example where a steady nerve and the ability to blank out distractions certainly helps but its completely different in a fast moving team sport. Name me one successful sports psychologist who has lifted a team up and over the barriers preventing them from being champions. Instead you have mugs like Dr Steve Peters who flits from one team failure to the next while telling everyone how good he is.
