I agree mate but what can agar do when a certain player is disrupting the team,god only knows what his team mates must be thinking,cocks all your weeks training up doesnt it.

It highlights the limitations of an unbalanced and poor squad. We have inadequate cover in too many areas.

Wouldn't change Briscoe's game now, becoming a class winger. Let his maintain his progression in that area.

Not sure about that. He's a class player for sure, but needs more ball as he looks a threat whenever he gets it.

Agree with that, but I think its just a case of shipping the ball out wide to him rather then bringing him inside for the ball. One thing is for sure - He's turning into a world class player.

It's a better option than playing Manu in the centres imo. I would have Yeaman with Reece though and pair Briscoe and Sharp. Manu can cover centre in an emergency but I would not like to see him play there often.

I cant see Tansey been here for much longer unfortunatley hes been stupid to many times, will be a massive loss on the pitch.

Just because Briscoe played in the in his youth and academy doesnt mean he'll cut it there in SL, Houghton been a prime example, played 7 all his carreer but now a hooker.

Briscoe makes to many yards for us from scooting to move him into the where he has to do alot of work in attack and especially defence.

That would be my back 5 too, but looks like Turner will be playing 6 till we get that area sorted out. Sounds like he's doing an alright job there, but I definatley see him as a centre.

As I say, until we get the 6 situation sorted I would keep Turner there. With Nicko out for the season, Horney touch and go and now looks like Tansey is going walkies, we simply can't go into the season without another half addition. I'm pretty confident this area will be addressed.

Where does that confidence come from, we've been trying to get a 6 for 8 months!

I thought Tom Briscoe showed some excellent touches with the ball in hand yesterday especially when moved to centre. I would have no problems either with Reece Lyne starting on the wing outside of Yeaman he looks physically a lot stronger then last year and provides the sheer pace to help with our kick chase game.

Because, and maybe call it naive, I can't see us going into the season with the so few players we have now. We were short already, but could have probably got by with filling in the injuries with the kids. Now that Jordan and Nicko are likely to be ruled out, its a matter of urgency which I think will be dealt with.

But we've been trying for MONTHS to recruit.

But maybe avoided potential targets because we thought the likes of Tansey and Nicko could do a better job!

So you want us to now recruit players previously thought worse than Tansey and Nicklas, yeah, that will move us forward in leaps and bounds.

For example, why sign say Moore if you thought Tansey and/or Nicko could do the same job? Waste of a signing. My point is now it won't be, because they will not be in contention.

With a squad as thin as ours though Tom, we should have been looking to have them AND more. I can understand the logic behind not wanting to sign players for longer than a year (because it will mess up our 2012 as well with players that we didn't really want), but at this stage of the season we are stupid to be so picky. If we want a competitive 2011, we need to sign players NOW.

I know what your saying Wells, just trying to work out the logic behind not signing them, i.e. Phelps - Tansey, Moore - Nicko. Whether I agree with it is another matter! We have apparently approached a player who couldn't achieve his visa to be granted, hopefully we have more in the pipeline.
