that gripping playoff with Wigan in 2007 seems a decade ago.

can't believe how poor the league is.

I thought Hull were terrible and light years behind the rest, but the playoffs have show that we could just become slightly less next season and probably come in the top4!

Lordy. We got 16,241 for our 2nd round play-off v Wigan in 2007. They should just give us a bye to avoid embarrassingly low crowds. The standard of play could scarcely be worse

Lets face it we got nearly 14,000 v Bradford for a nothing game

If we'd been just a [ilittle[/i bit better this season we'd have made the playoffs. Poor as we were we lost several games by a handful of points.

SL has been of a pretty poor standard overall this season, and so far the playoffs have been dire. Not good.

The crowds have been shocking barring the Leeds v Rovers game and that was still a low turnout by Leeds.

I cannot fathom it, Play-offs usually bring out the glory supporters who turn up just for the big games. Granted the games have been awful barring the Wigan/Cas game but as the majority of supporters do not posess psychic capabilities they are not to know this.

Damn if it was me and we had even a minor sniff of any trophy i would be there backing my team.

I'm also baffled.

what else did the public of Huddersfield have to do on a friday night? also add in the fact that they play in a nice ground, have just had their best season ever, and have made 2 CC finals in 3 years...and its even more baffling.

4,000 Hull fans would have gone to lands end to watch a playoff game!

Poor season. poor Playoff's, poor league.

Perhaps we'll see a distinct improvement in refereeing standards at Hull matches next year

So in that respect they should be helping us finish in the top 2 to guarantee two good well attended games

Unreal, awful attendance tonight. As pointed out earlier if that was our team and we where challenging for OT it would be a bumper crowd.

I'm still in favour of the old 1v2 Grand Final showdown, in fact I'm still in favour of the old style playoffs completely. 'Club Call' pfft, what a joke.

I honestly dont understand why a season pass for the "Super league season" does not include the season playoffs ? I can understand a seperate competition . like the challenge cup not being included but why shouldnt the playoffs be included, should your chosen team make the playoffs. If its bacause of revenue then i am sure the matches would bring additional paying supporters!


It would surely bring the crowds, because at the moment it looks shocking viewing for television

I have made exaclty the same comments on the Hudds site.
It seems to me that Hudds are living solely on the 'birthplace of RL' situation.

But wouldn't some argue that you are paying extra for tickets you wont need?

Our season passes have Vouchers in the back section these could be redeemed for the relevent playoff matches!

But you need to pay extra as the play off crowd money is pooled and doesn't go directly to the home team like it does in the league.

As do ours but you will always get some that will have a problem with it.

If thats the case then at least give a decent reduction on proof of being a season pass holder,Something to help promote the games attendences.

That shouldn't be needed it's the play offs FFS, just goes to show how p*ss poor some clubs followings are.

Clubs could create incentives for fans to come out and support them though.

A simple buy a ticket for the first play off game and recieve an X% discount on game 2 should the club make it that far.

Surely as all reciepts are pooled there should not be a problem from any of the teams involved.

Indeed Paul. It makes our form this year even more infuriating. Our team of three years ago would have walked this league.

The crowd at the Galpharm last night was an embarrassment. As Mrs B said we got a huge crowd for the Wigan play off game in 2007 (including a big away following). In fact for the two home play off games that year we got a total of 28,431. Not forgetting the 16,000+ for the Bradford Final Eliminator in 2006.
