A season of a coach clearly not having a clue?

There are limited options for a replacement, both financially and in terms of quality. If we sack yet another coach in such short order it's going to make signing anyone decent almost impossible anyway.

And right now I'd be willing to bet that Sharp would just step in. How would that improve matters?

Agar has to be retained for this season at least IMO. But he does need to immediately address some of the obvious problems we have, as do the players.

Give me a better option? Sacking him would be a kneejerk reaction and there is nobody else available anyway.

I wasn't just alluding to Agar but also the board's reluctance to put a team worthy of challenging for the title on the park. Someone was saying how we're in the best position financially than we've ever been yet we can't be paying up to the SC limit. If we are then God help us. The franchise system should be doing away with kneejerk coach sackings mid season. However it looks like English fans aren't as patient as their Aussie counterparts. We won the CC in 2005 and made the GF in 2006. We've been going backwards ever since. Why are Hull so inept at capitalising on success?

historically we always are, though in the past its been due to selling players to avoid going bust, this time Peter Sharp messed it up by buying the wrong players.

There aren't many top quality coaches available and if one were would he come to a club that gets rid of a coach on the back of 4 losses, cant imagine Tony Smith coming here over Warrington when he could look at the Wire boards record for backing a coach ie. Cullen and see that they are prepared to give people a chance.
Someone said they wished we had signed Nathan Brown yet his record in Oz says we shouldn't touch him and the same goes for Folkes who also has a distinctly average record. Should we go for an assistant from a succesful team, didn't Bellamy learn his trade from Bennett, or would he just suffer the same as Sharp Agar and the likes.
We have no divine right to success, it comes from hard work and I for one am sure that Agar and his team will be doing all they can to turn things round and on the back of that he deserves more time.
