I wouldn't say no chance. I'd expect us to be around 5th, but if Leeds have as poor a season (pre-play offs) as they had this year, we might be in with an outside chance of 4th.

A better squad than this year with our overseas boys imo and we could have finished 5th with a game to go this season.

Id say 5th as long as we dont have the same stuttering start as this year. Were still behind top 4 but infront of cats, hudds and rovers (whos recruitment are worse than ours imo)

4th or 5th but the important thing is a change in mentality and mental toughness allowing us to win games that really matter

The fact tha Agar isn't here should put us a couple of places higher than last season.

Can't see us troubling the top four though. Our pack is looking very short of cover and our right hand side is still weak (unless of course anyone thinks that Tony Martin will make a difference

That's how I see it.

Warrington, Saints and Wigan should make up the top three - although it's difficult to predict how Wigan will go under Wane. Leeds were very average in the first two thirds of this season and it's them, Huddersfield, Cas and Rovers that we should be aiming to overtake in 2012.

In the top 6, where is anyone's guess.
With a motivational coach anything can happen but it all remains to be seen. After some of the recent news, the next addition has to be big and influential to keep us in the six.

Don't know where we will finish but it is not my biggest concern. What I will be happy with is good rugby and giving the big teams a game as well as allowing the youth to step into position when injuries occur. If we say goodbye to moving half the squad around to fill one position it will be a massive step forward.
With a decent looking 1,6,7,9,13 we could surprise a few this season.

We have improved the starting 17 a wee bit and not seen many other clubs snap up massive stars saints will lose Graham, Leeds lose Buderus, Wigan Lose Hoffman/Coley and madge. wire so far losing anderson/clarke/king so there will be lots of movement or signing activity to come imo. With our new coaching set up hopefully we can play quite a few pre-season matches and get the us up and running early. top 6 is a must and pushing for 4th theres a chance. Will rejudge in 3 months though

Where we finish for me will all depend on if the youngsters step up or look like rabbits caught in headlights when they're called upon

I will go for 3 or 4 Saint will lost 2 good players Wigan new coach
It will see who get out of the traps the better a good start and a bit
of luck who know ..Last season if results had gone our way we could have finished
higher ..This time round we could have players who could open up defenses

If we have a couple of quality forwards in mind, we could finish around 5th. we will still be a fair distance from the top three who are all way out in front in terms of squad quality.

If we only have one average forward in mind, I would think around 6th - 7th.

2013 and beyond will be the real chance to show our ambition.

Not a dig but is it just me who finds all your posts a little awkward to read?

For me I can see us finishing 5th or 6th but would really like to see us challenging the top teams and bringing a few youngsters through (which I know we will as Gentle has done this at Wests and has a real eye for talent) such as Liam Cunningham and Josh Bowden.

Fourth or fifth is a realistic target. Below fifth would be disappointing.

I do expect us to turn around our record against Leeds, Saints, Wigan and Warrington.

For next season:
As RG and others have said I think 5th/6th, but a good chance for 4th.

As long as we see some great progress with the youth coming through, 'team' performances, speed of playing the ball and defence attack, ability to get over the line when near the line etc...

The season after:
Less than 4th and a final will be a bit of disappointment.

5th/6th Imo.

5th I think is the best we can hope for. With Seymour/Ellis our 5th tackle plays must improve. A good cup run and winning at least one play-off game would be nice

I will be pleasantly surprised if we finish higher than 5th.

I will be very disappointed if we finish lower than 6th.
