The occasion was destined to be Long's night. I was impressed by his work rate, he did his fair share graft in all areas. Last night was a clear demonstration of what the bloke is capable of and with some tubthumping forwards building a platform, I hope to see much more.

That try had the Saints of old written all over it. Longy's influence is immense in all areas.

Longy always has put his shift in in defence during his career. His tackle just on half time which together with Yeamo prevented them scoring was a big moment in the match for us. 12-0 and 12-6 are a world apart going in to the HT cuppa. That tackle alone was the reason I gave him MOM over Fitzy who was also awesome.

Couldnt make the trip last night (for 'reasons')......So popped in Punch Bowl to see the BIG screen (its huge!!!!!!) Anyway, there I was surrounded by a mostly red and white crowd.......They were having the odd dig here and there, and when we got our noses ahead some were even suggesting that the only reason the game had gone ahead (fog) was because sky will have insisted and it should've been abandoned LOL
THEN..........Longey scored......Even the 'reds' were nodding approvement and saying what a great try it was.....And it was!!!! They were clapping again when Tom Briscoe got away from the tacklers....with one boot on LoL. Hence to say, I left that place with a lot of pride and a spring in my step!!!!

We enjoyed the Fish and Chips from the Chippy near the Ground after the game ..The Carpark cleared by the time we set off ..We BIG

All the 5 tries were a joy to see against Saints ..Hull must have been good for the Saints fans to boo their team

Hull where excellent last night, and Long certainly lokked brill, i don't think the same thing will happen this season with the 5 wins and they screw it, good team, wont lie. Hey you may even be in with a chance of winning a meaningful derby this year

We were just happy to be at the game after the wheels on our minibus decided to fall off 15 minutes from the ground!

Me and a couple of mates went round to the other end at half time (had to hide our colours and sneek past the stewards). We were stood about 5 yeards from where Longy dived over! It was a surreal try, first we heard the roar from you lot as we made the break, then we were looking accross the pitch as we had no idea where the break was made, and before we know it, about four Hull players emerge from the fog, pass it between them with Longy finishing it off. Class.

What was good as well as Long went over...there was another 2 Hull players on his outside as well.

Agreed it shows to me that we can be a threat anywhere on the field. We have 3 of the best support players in the league in Horne, Long and Tansey, if our pack can bust holes in the oppositon line then we are a danger to any team.

Exactly!!! And they were in great positions to continue on the passes had they needed to be. However once Long got the ball there was no doubt in his mind he was scoring.

All came from an excellent offload in the tackle and great backing up.

does it remind you of a typical saints try with long on the end of it scoring does me anyway. think it was 2006 when someone offloaded it to wellens who juggled it and drew the fullback to give long it bowt 30metres out or so to score with raynor chasing.
