Yup, by a country mile.

To be fair to Dowes he has improved this season, but when all the props are so alike it is hard to be noticed.
Early in the season he was our best performing prop IMO, but like everything things have gone downhill, it must be hard for players to get up for games at the minute with so much going wrong. Also take into account the amount of game time he has.

Given the choice i would keep Dowes and lose Cusack and sign a player we need on the quota rather than someone we can get here.

I'd agree with this. Cusack is a model pro and put in a lot of work, he's got bags of big game experience and should have a good influence over some of the younger players.

Every club needs players like Cusack who can put the hard slog in for 80 minutes and he has the ability to throw some good off-loads out but as stated on here already; players like him need to be balanced in the front row with hard running, tackle busting impact props like Morley, Mason, Kite, etc.

If we sign an impact prop and clear out the likes of Radford (unlikely to happen), King (he's had his day and used up all of his chances) and Dowes (doubtful) then I'm happy; especially is we keep Maloney and develop him for the future.

reasonable player but massive waste of a quota spot imo, just cant see this mass clearout happening,and with only 1 quota spot left its worrying to say the least!

A loss to the side yes, but even with him in the squad i cannot see how anything would have been different results wise.

No doubt but the next bit about influence and leadership doesn't make sense when Agar has been complaining about the lack of leaders at the club and is disappointed with some of the senior players.

He didn't break any tackles scoring that try he ran onto a peach of a pass from Dowes, I could of scored it.

Makes me cringe thinking about the rest.

Bit harsh on Moa to say he should be offloaded. The bloke has not been given a chance yet. He played when he first came over and was not fit, now after a spell in the reserves and building up fitness he isn't given a decent chance.
I personally will withold judgement till i have seen him get some reasonable gametime.

How does it leave the quota situation ?
Its funny how people are calling berro injury prone yet im pretty sure cusack had a injury last season and is out most of this season .
Waste of a quota spot for me he does a job but hardly someone I would have being upset to see go .

TBH I want more from a player taking up a quota spot, don't get me wrong Cusack works hard and rarely lets the team down for me its just same old same old.

So much for clearing out as slowly but surely the club are resigning the current crop of players, so much for the threats of a clear out, Oh silly me fancy thinking things will change, not a feckin chance.

I would give him a go on friday.He has impressed me in the reserves,i know its not the same as first team but i think its time to give Moa his chance.At least we should get some sort of impact.

What worries me is that it looks like we will have Cusack, Dowes, Fiztgibbon and Radford starting ack next year, too many workhorses.

At least the other three offer something different, i ahvent seen anything in the last two years to say that Cusack is miles better, he plays the ball faster but that is about it.

You can can only have a couple of workhorse in the pack if you want to be succesful, poor move by Hull.
