We were dire today. Hull didn't have to do much to win this one. Dropped balls, inside balls and no energy today.

Ref may have been bad at your end but he was god awful for Wakey too. Smith grounded the ball on line 11 mins from time at 20-6. And some horrible decisions agains us too.

Think the ref was just an absolute useless spare part on the field today for both teams.

Gutted but hull were better tonight.

Late arriving, we were 16-0 up by then. Referee seemed intent on piggy-backing them up the pitch, but our defence was excellent. Barring some dodgy handling errors, we should have won by more. Solid, enough to get in the hat, biggest concern is Watts, any news?

Got to say thought we did what we needed to do tonight. But we ended up getting into an arm wrestle and i'm glad we defended like we did.

Ref tonight was awful. Wakefield did have a try disallowed but i agree with the ref on that one as it looked like double movement. (He did get the ball down but looked to be on the second attempt.)

I had a clear view and looked on the money for smith. Can't really comment on fc try's as I was in away end but that one next to corner flag in first half looked a fair distance forward anyway.

Despite this, yes your defence was very good however Wakey really threw very little at it. We have been playing some great expansive plays this season but today seemed intent on sending inside balls to props running at waiting hull fc players.

I ofcourse agree hull were better tonight and were good for the win.

too many forced passes tonight for fc, trying to score at every attempt, correctly called forward passes against us, yet wakey had 3 or 4 forward passes let go!

ref cained us second half and spoilt the game, great defence and some cracking tries!

With a decent ref, we would have won by even more, did Wakefield make a break? Only got near our line because of errors and penalties ( pen count must have been double in their favour) 2 disallowed try's, both looked good, but will have to see them again. He also pulled us up 3 times for forward passes, not one for Wakey.

Lucioy our defence was outstanding and at times played some nice attacking stuff.

It's disappointing that you come away from a game talking about the ref. Missing high shots, missing a clear Wakey try from Smith. His inconsistency with the forward pass was extraordinary, he pinged us for three in a row, then failed to give the most blatant one of the lot, just a joke.

Defence was very good and Ellis injected himself into the game a lot more this week. His offload before Horne's try was sublime as was his round the back pass to Yeamo.
Horne has been outstanding this year and tonight he was as good as I've seen for years.
Pitts is definitely a 2nd rower, was very good tonight.

Left side didn't look any weaker when he came on for Ellis, the lad has a ridiculous sidestep for a forward and his work rate is very impressive Especially for a youngster

Enjoyed the game but thought we were slack in a number of areas. That said defence wasn't one of them it was superb. Bombed too many chances but the ones we did score were very good we have a lot of strike out there now if we can just sharpen up slightly. Injuries to further key forwards a worry.

Paul Aiton for Wakey was incredibly dirty! Putting in digs to Hull players on the ground and went for the head of every player he tackled! Disgrace!

Gave them far too much cheap ball. Against a better side we'd have been more severely punished.

Thought at times we were sensational in spells during our purple patch in 1st half. Even the stuff that didn't quite come off was brilliant in idea.
Not sure why we went back in our shells. Know we lost a couple of men but attack would of been best way of preserving ourselves imo.
Have heard we have complicated tactics n game plans change 3 n 4times a game even in victory which I don't understand. Because the team that played some of the stuff in that period and the one that ground it's way through the 2nd half were totally different!

Main thing about tonight was we kept ali lauititi quiet for the full match. (apart from his try)

Basically stopped Wakeys go to player. Also anyone else notice in the second half Reece Lyne was taken off??
