You did the same thing before the Saints game and the Bulls and Cats games, trying to remove any excuses for losing.

Rovers have injuries as do Hull, we do have two crucial ones in Long and Ogre, you can't include Cooke, it was their decision to get rid.

It's not about excuses, if we play well we have a great chance to win but Rovers are hitting form and it could go either way. It's about who performs on the day but we all know if we lose then you will be on your high horse for the week slagging Agar, a coach that has us 4th in SL.

I think it is shaping up to be a great clash personally.
We're been picking up wins and playing some great stuff but just not for the 80mins. Even without Orge and Long i think we've got enough to win the game provided we can keep up the intensity for 80mins.
Rovers are really hitting some form despite their injury setbacks, Galea really is instrumental for them. Their forward pack was outstanding last night and our forwards are really going to have to step up to the plate to match them. Despite how disorganised Leeds looked last night they still created chances.

Without Ogre and Long and taking into account that the dobbins have pulled some real form from somewhere, of which I didn't think they were capable, I think we might have a problem matching their intensity, organisation and kicking game.

Without Ogre, I can't see us winning the forward battle either. I'm pretty sure that Dowes/Radford/Cusack will not be creating any sleepless nights for their players.

I must admit i never thought they were capable either but Derby games are something different, last year we were awful for the majority but we ran them close both games something not many of us thought we could do.
I think the Dobbins will go into the game as the more confident team, but lets hope they leave with nothing.

It is an important game for us as we need to be winning our home games to stand an chance of finishing in the top 6 and with Wigan/Leeds to come at home it doesn't get any easier as the season finishes.

Any hull or rovers fan who says this is just another game is lying. Nothing at all wrong with 'enjoying' the game for what it is - some people on both sides will shoot you down with all this BS about being 'obsessed', but its just a way to promote their own self-importance.

As for the game itself, I don't think form counts for much as most of the derbies in SL have been fairly close contests. Not to mention this year where a lot of teams have been outstanding one week and diabolical the next. In a way its a shame if O'Meley misses out and that Long will, having both sides going toe to toe at full strength is what its all about for me.

As we all know this is the only true derby in RL (despite stevo et al) & I'm desperate for the lads to win. However for me the players should be thinking it is still just another game/2 points, ignore all the hype & not going into the match with any less an attitude then any other game they play. Every single game should be at as high an intensity as the players/team can manage. However in derby games many players lose their cool & intelligence goes straight out the window (a bit like the fans tbh) but on the park we want controlled passion & smart thinking not running round like headless chickens. I'd rather win playing smart than lose & having bashed some of their players about.

We've struggled most of the time vs Rovers since they joined SL. I expect a close game again on Thursday and looking at both teams form i expect Rovers to win.

We need to be more aggresive than in recent weeks maybe after a coulpe of minutes put a big but legal hit on galea or dobson try to shake them up a bit but after seeing last nights match we need more go forward so hopefully sammy will be back and maybe give lauaki a go at prop. We need more go forward and cant reley too much on willie to barge through 4,5,6 tackles and run 50 yards every drive. Shame O'meleys missing this is exactly the stage he would thrive on and would feel a lot more confident if he were playing.
