| Quote ="Hullrealist"Lachlan Fitzgibbon to super league. Doubt we could get him over this season as he plays regularly in NRL.
At 29 he’s a great age and would be class in super league. He will already have a good understanding with Cliff & Tex and it should help all 3 players settle better.
Appears to have real pedigree for SL, hopefully a leader as well. The name Fitzgibbon alone gets me excited'"

Power board making Abramovitch like investment.

| Blokes only just announced that he would consider super league clubs. The only links right now are fans. The links with FC and Rovers are purely down to personal he knows and clubs potentially needing to fill the position.
I don’t think any credible links will come for about a fortnight. The hope is that Fc will be fighting for these sorts of signings (even if we don’t manage it).
The one thing in our favour will be cap/budget space. We should have a lot of it to play with from releasing players like Evans (already gone) Shaul, Taylor, Houghton and potentially Savelio who don’t necessarily get into our 17.
Financially we should be an attractive club for players

Financially your not attractive you are basically bankrupt I take it you haven’t seen your latest accounts?
The fans appear to be getting giddy after beating Huddersfield.
Realistically it will be difficult to attract quality players given your financial situation and league position.

Weve being debt for years, we was also in debt during our magic seasons of 16/17.
So your logic is not valid.

Well you're the one saying we'll beat the league leaders Keith.
You seem very keen on assessing our accounts - how do you compare the debt levels of our respective clubs?

Possibly naive, but would a brief summary be that Rovers owe a metric pooptonne of doubloons in Director loans and maybe have a mortgage on Craven Park, while Hull owe the government a squazillion silver guineas?
Last time Hull went pop, they moved into a brand new state of the art facility 3 or 4 years later and won the cup a couple of years after that. Death isn’t always fatal for sports clubs. It’s rarely quite that immediately beneficial, admittedly.

I still reckon it’s Neil, not Keith.
Folk should just ignore him. His obsession with FC is unhealthy.

In the last set of filed accounts the purchase hadn't gone through, so not a mortgage I think. £8m would seem a lot to owe Hudgell.

| Seen a few names mentioned over the weekend.
Whitbread, Walters,Ashworth, O'Donnell, AJ Wallace and Sam Wood.
Hearing Evans might not be the last to go before his contract is up.

Whitbread, Walters, O'Donnell are no brainers. Haven't seen much of AJ Wallace but we were linked to him last season.
Can't see Rovers letting Wood go. More likely Ethan Ryan.
I wouldn't touch Ashworth with a barge pole. He's not very good, but it's mainly to do with his court case. Wouldn't want anyone like that at the club.

Agree on Ashworth.
Be made up if we could bring in Whitbread, Walters and O'Donnell.
Hooker is interesting too. Could be potentially losing all 4 so will need to bring in 2 new ones if that's the case.

If Leeming is realistic and wants to come back to SL I'd have Leeming starting with Balmforth off the bench, if not I'd look to start Balmforth with Dwyer off the bench.
Balmforth should be ready next year, I'd like to see him given time this season, we're not going to make the playoffs and it's the only way we'll know if he's ready.

He wants to be a starting 9, part of the reason he fell out with RS was down to that.
He'd walk into our team at 9. He won't get a starting gig in the NRL. Saints have signed Daz Clarke by all accounts, unless Wigan want to move Powell on which I can't see, I'd hope we're at the front on the queue for him

He famously claimed he was propping up the club at the rate of £500,000+ a season, so not too much to owe him, plus he probably had to fund Allam’s £1,000,000 “loan” after a few months. Funny how he spat his dummy out and threatened to walk away unless others helped out financially. If as you say he’s owed £8 million they probably aren’t as rich as Billy/Keefy claim?

| I'd have Fitzgibbon and O Donnell over Whitbread, would give us two strong backrowers . Easier to get a non fed prop than a backrower IMO and there a couple available in such as Walters and Trout.
Hooker is an intresting one, really hope we keep Balmforth and also give him a fee games, look to sign Leeming, if not keep Dywer for another year.
Another option is to play Cator at hooker and start to introduce Armstrong at LF, who could be a star if we can keep him, giving him and Balmforth a couple of games once we are safe we help.

He'd be ideal for us as a starting 9, we need to get our hooker recruitment right for the next few years, it's been such a weak point for us for a while now. Especially given the prospect of losing all 4 hookers at the club in one off season.
