Apparently Wayne Bennett is leaving the Dragons at the end of this coming season when his contract is up!

What are the chance of us having the £'s , and more importantly being willing to spend the £'s, to bring in the best coach of the last 20 years?

Surely he would want a crack at Super League? He has mastered everything else.

Why would he come to Hull?

He'll be able to pretty much take his pick, I doubt he'd pick Hull, and I also doubt we'll go for him, I expect Agar to be Hull coach for many years, unfortunately.

As amazing as it would be, there are only 3 candidates to succeed Agar - Andy Last, James Webster and Steve McNamara. Maybe McDermott if he fails at Leeds and they use this move as part of a compensation package

I would have said for a pay rise - but with the loophole closed for overseas payments, and the exchange rate, we would have to seriously spend some dough to make it worth his while.

I think we are an attractive option for most coaches though due to the infrastucture of the Club, and the fact we haven't had huge success in the last couple of years means that even just an improvement in the style of play would be deemed a success!

We have to ask him the question though don't we?

We won't, there is no way would we pay for someone like him, as Mrs B states, we can expect our next coach to come from the reject shelf at Lidl.

Think he does mean Wayne Bennet, but in a playing capacity rather then coach!

I would rather chew off my own arm than see McBanana as our coach. What a joke that guy is !!



Agar is out of his depth but to see him shipped out only for McBanana to replace him, would be the joke of the century !

There's more chance of Wayne Slob being our next coach than Wayne Bennett.

I was under the impression that Bennett has no intentions of ever leaving Australia. I don't think he'll ever coach in SL personally.

And Maguire as flavour of the month will no doubt be going back leaving Wigan needing a coach at some point. They won't be messing with the likes of Mcbanana , Sharp , McDermott etc so any "spare" Oz coaches will head in their direction.

I think Wigan will appoint from within. Their assistant is very highly rated by all accounts.

talking of sammut,it amazes me how crusaders seem to be signing aussie halfbacks at will.maybe we should ask them to find one for us.

How many in the 'know' fans post on here. The 'believe me - in the next few days....' The 'nailed on' crowd do they really know any thing (No!!!!!!!!!!!) . FC are struggling to get any one in/Struggling to offload Tansey without just sacking him. and Aussie half back turned us down... The only fact is Tansey will be sacked. We will sign no one as 'whiting will cover' . Sammutt staying and FC will head into a poor season!!!!!!!

Although a couple of things have gone against him, Agar has really disapointted me with his recruitment this year, after a good one the year before.

Going to be a long season and with our current squad I can't see us making the play offs.
