Why do you always have to lower the tone with your bullying tactics?
It's a forum, where people are allowed an opinion, just because they don't agree with yours doesn't mean to say they are wrong.

'Favourite player', is that a question? If it was a question, the answer is no, he's not. Try calming down and wipe the foam from you mouth before you post again.
Moa isn't good enough at this moment in time, and if we re-sign him, he'll be sitting in the stands most of next year or loaned out. Cussack is far more important for the side, like I said, 'go forward' has not been a problem for us, it's our creativity and finishing.
Oh, and spelling always gets pulled out by those who've been beaten and have no other comeback or backup to their argument.

Not sure a agree with Moa being in the stands. I'd have him in the team before Dowes who i think has been off the pace for a number of years now.

| I like both Cusack and Moa, both different types of players, if I had to keep one it would be Moa, Mainly because Moa could be long term, will only get better, while Cusack should be in his last season next year.
Also Dowes and Cusack are very simalar in styles.
Hopfully both will be here next season.
Also if people think Moa will be sat in the stands, has the last ten years not taught you anything, with the injuries we get and in SL, if Moa will play 20 plus games next season.

Precisely. In the absence of any other quota players who are top class Stand Off Halves we should sign Moa. The imbalances of the squad will not be solved with one season's recruitment alone. Signing second raters who happen to be able to play OK in a few different positions hasn't worked well in the past and wont do now. It is a question of who of the right standard is available and not just who we think we need.

How about you grow up ! You start calling people "boring" from behind your keyboard because they don't agree with your very boring idea of a forward pack.

| I would have both Cusack and Moa in the 17. Dowes would miss out every time for me.
As for the idea of starting with Cusack and Dowes, presumably with captain Fantastic in the SR, that would be madness and the biggest example of how not to get on top of the opposition early in a game.

Stats can be, and very usually are, misleading to say the least. You're probably going to tell us that Dowes and Cusack are both towards the top of the yardage per game stats aren't you.
We all know why that is but how many of this years top six teams would have BOTH of them and Radford in their 17 ?? Not many, infact non of them.
Every side needs hard working forwards but we've always had too many of them. Cusack will complement the likes of Moa and Lauaki very nicely but Dowes, IMO, should only be in the 17 in the event of injuries and wouldn't be here at all next season either.

No, Im going to tell you that our forwards, as a collective, got us up the pitch effectively last season, our lack of creativity lost us games.

Well that stat is also very misleading because, as most fans recognise, our pack was totally dominated by most other packs all season. It lacked go-forward, aggression and leadership

Something that, hopefully, a certain Mr Long, amongst others, will cure. Just need to keep him on the park now.

Standee is right. Our pack did not let us down, our creativity in the final third did. Yes we needed a bit more leaderships on the pitch in all areas and more impact in the pack would have been useful. However the pack did gets us into the right areas of the pitch and the problem was we then did not know how to get accross the line.
Defensively we were good. Going forward we were goo. What we were bad at was scroing tries.

| The problem with stats is that they dont measure the situation that things occur in. Errors that gift the opposition field position negate the need for their forwards to churn out the hard yards. Likewise, teams with a superior kicking game repeatedly pen us in our 20, thus giving our forwards plenty of opportunity to make some metres.

| I agree our pack was not the problem last season. It was down to a lack of creativity in the final 3rd of the pitch along with a very weak kicking game.

Have to agree, although our pack make yards, they did not scatter defenses to give the halves room to work, although I do not believe we possessed a SH who would have taken full advantage of space. Balance is still needed within the pack though, and I would still go with 2 workmanlike props, ie Cusack and Dowes, but the aggression and destructive nature of Lauaki, O' Meley, Moa (hopefully), Manu and Fitzy will provide alot more fear and impact than the likes of King, Maloney and Thackray, and will give us better balance across the pack.

Doesn't matter where you start for a try scoring move, so long as the move results in a try.
