The Agar threads have managed to overtake the Cooke ones.No mean feat.

The difference for me is that I don't care what Agar achieves after he's gone, so long as it's elsewhere. I never really had that sentiment for Cooke.

If he stays then pearson can forget about a 14k average next season unless he's giving tickets away in large numbers

AP cant afford to keep Agar even if he feels hes the right man. Ive been speaking to lots of people through my job and 9/10 want him gone and AP will get rid without a doubt wherever the team finishes the season.

A new coach and a quality signing is all it will take for many people including myself the regain the faith! I might even buy my first ever season tickets if he goes!

i would like to see him go apart from the odd few games which he deserves a bit of credit its been boring rugby we have no real attacking flare and i think with a new coach with new ideas we can become a more dangerous attacking team ,the squad we have we should be top 4 every season but he just cant seem to organise things which ap should reaslise this and replace him

Im very concerned that the next three games are all winnable and if Agar was to win them and win at least one play off game that will maybe enough to see Pearson give him a chance next season.

We aren't a top 4 team with regards to our squad. Wire, Wigan, Saints, Hudds and Leeds all have better squads than ours.
Agar doesn't trust our youngsters either and it shows with him refusing to rest Ogre. Imo we have two good props in Aldous and Bowden ready to make the step up. Yet no appearance from them and no debut from any youngster this season. Which is appauling from Agar!

i agree with you about the youngsters but on paper in my opinion our squad is top 4 on our day we can beat any team in the leauge but were too inconsistent due to agars lack of motivation towards the squad

Chatting to a wakey player last night he said that James elstom (wakey cheif exec) had said that they have spoke to agar and 2 others re: coach of wakey next season.

I reckon he his going and will be in charge of wakey next year.

Barring Leeds, and the rest of the top 4 we really do struggle to beat. Our record against them is nothing but a joke.
Even the lesser teams I aren't convinced that we'll secure the points as proved against Wakey this season.

That's with Agar as coach. That doesn't mean, per se, that they're much better than us on paper.

ATEOTD, even with Agar as our coach and no first choice half back, we've pushed most of the top 4 teams. The problem is that pushing them isn't enough.

And yet the same guy (Elston) told the Wakey Supporters Trust a couple of weeks ago that Agar wasn't even on their radar. Guess time will tell.

Our squad isn't as good as wire's with their elastic salary cap and wigan, who have a crop of good quality youngsters tehy've developed themselves. saints are probably a bit ahead of us but we're pretty much on a par with the rest of SL. On paper, neither leeds or hudds have noticeably better squads than us. They all just perform nearer their optimum on a regular basis and we don't.

I think pearson may be underestimating the strength of feeling against agar. I don't care who we sign, I'm not going next year if agar is still there

Well that's the thing, Seb, there IS a doubt.

AP is keeping his cards close to his chest but let's not break out the bubbly just yet.

We were discussing the chances of Agar going today. If we fail to make the play-offs, I'm 100% confident he will go. If we make the play-offs this drops to 85%. If we win one play-off game, I'm 60% confident that he will go. Beyond this and I think he'll stay.

And would deserve to. That would definitely mean he would have improved on last year. Not a high confidence scenario mind.

Most people around rugby league - including those at/associated with the RFL - seem to be convinced Agar will be going. In fact it has even been said that Agar to Wakefield has been agreed for a while.

Personally, I would be more than staggered if he stays. Pearson's failure to say anything concrete about him seems a classic case of trying to avoid saying in public (yet) what is already pretty much set in stone behind the scenes.

Even if we win the 7 games from now thats needed to lift the trophy im not sure he will be still here come next season.

The Q&A gave me renewed hope that Agar is on his way but the pessimism built up over the years makes me worried



I just hope that we find out as soon as possible.

And what if we change him and we are still crap, does AP get the blame or all of us who want rid!
